Evolution of the Bose sound system | Mazda 3

I have the 24 M3 with the Bose 12 speakers by far the best sound system from factory ive ever heard. Crystal clear at any volume. I had an aftermarket system years ago it was louder but not nearly as clear. I dont think i could ask for a better factory sound. Thank you for caring about the audio.

Sound in the 23 Turbo 3 is crisp. Lows are decent but leave you wanting a bit more. Every car I’ve owned also had a single 12 or a pair of 10s in the back so I’m used to having a lot more punch and deeper lows. A little more low end would make this audio system come to life!

Don't bother. The standard sound system is amazing except that it lacks bass due to the fact it doesn't have a subwoofer like the Bose system. I added an aftermarket subwoofer in the trunk and although I lost some luggage space, the bass is so much better than what you find in the Bose system.

As good as this Bose is would like to see the Japaneese use an audio system native. Like a Yahmaha Studio monitors inside. Or Devaialet. French

I have a 2021 sedan with the Bose system, and it's actually decent enough for the average person. In fact that will be very impressed. But I've had extremely fine tuned high end aftermarket audio in my last car. The Bose sound lifeless, the bass is bloated. It's enough to be satisfied for the average person, but not for me. I will upload a video soon

Its my first day with my new Mazda 3 Sedan X with Bose sound. My old Mazda 3 with Bose had what everyone is raving now about....immersiveness, i had ao many beautiful moments listening to that sound system, that it was #2 reason why I decided to go into Mazda again, despite many other small diaappointments. when i sat down into this new one and switched on the sound system i turned around amazed by missing the sound from the back. Tried to find fader, (i found, it just does not work) there is no sound from the back of the car. Very disappointed...if I knew this, (i should have been more careful when testing) i would not buy it. Any one with the similar feeling?

2020 mazda mazda3 sedan. Haven't noticed the rear sound. Will try tomorrow morning. I do think my 2016 mazda3 hatch was punchy yet louder bass. I haven't driven it in almost 3 years though, so...🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

My 2016 Mazda 3 i grand touring hatchback w/ Bose doesn't have much sound from the rear. However, when you attend a concert there's no music from the rear either. I'm happy that I have a cd player in my car 😅. I just purchased a powered subwoofer not installed yet, not sure if I will put it under the passenger seat or in the trunk. Another youtube video said the Bose in sedan sounds better than the hatchback which makes logical sense. Too bad no cd player option available anymore. I have tons of cds and a LG smartphone with a qual DAC and hard-wiring through aux cord makes noticeable difference in the sound even with Pandora or KZbin music.

Hi Leo, I think the same as you, from the driving position the surround sound from the rear is not perceived and the work of the subwoofer is not appreciated, I expected to find more presence of low frequencies. I would like you to try to make a trip but place yourself in the rear seats (I have tried it) in that position you will notice better the audio immersion and also the presence of the subwoofer, but I recognize that the lower frequencies do not impact, I expected something more. This Bose equipment is of quality and it sounds very good, I would summarize it with the word "pure and balanced sound". We do not expect a forceful disco sound. I want to note the good soundproofing that Mazda has made in its latest versions, this helps a clean hearing inside the vehicle.

I never said it was not that good there is just better sound systems out there like b&o sound systems or Harmon Kardon or b&w or Mark Levinson or even the Bose 32 speaker sound system in Cadillacs you’re system is miles better than a stock system but there is some that are better

Well yes I have but it was the bose system In a Nissan Rogue Bose did also make a 32 speaker sound system in a Cadillac

I think it is awesome that they did not put the speakers in the doors because that is a real problem with the panels rattling but in fancy cars as you will have sound detening to stop the rattle

the bose sound system in my Mazda 3 BK, which is 15 years old, sounds absolutely crazy, the right front speaker just broke down, I removed it out the door & still its the best car audio I ever had in a car built in from original & I easily drove over 200 different cars in my life, from every company imaginable. 2 friends of me just spent 10.000€ for their new cars - Audi A4 & VW Golf both over 200.000km - I didn't even pay 5.000€ for my car - and its a GTA - which means I have 150HP with crazy clean sound from my sport exhaust, 18" rims, eibach lowering, black leather everywhere - and the metallic finish of the car even looks better than my friends golf, which is only 5 years old. I freaking love the look in their faces, whenever I come with my new M3 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's extremely disappointing that the Bose system doesn't have a real equalizer. There's an EQ in the non-Bose Mazda 3, but not the Bose system. Can an EQ be added through a software update?

I had a 2009 sp25 hatchback and the bose system in that wasn't too bad...current have a 2018 sp25 with the plain standard stereo its piss weak...for front speakers tho they should be low in the doors always sound better..no matter the car

I've also heard that the brake light mount will rattle too. Your dealer should fix it under warranty.

Actually, the woofer placement on the deck and using the trunk space as a box for the speaker in the sedan, is much better than the woofer placed in the spare tyre, like in the hatch.

What car has rattles & vibration due to the woofers in the doors? None, only a garbage installation from the factory or aftermarket installation would have this issue.
