YES!!! 🤣 I will say, I can relate to what the Tiger did best... As a "friend" of Chip / Dale at the Fort Wilderness Campfire Show, the guests enjoyed being a bit problematic towards the costumed characters. Random creepers groped, pulled, and hit the costume. Apparently not realizing that a human is inside of the costume?!? I, did, smack my manager (by accident) because I didn't see her in my blindspot when in the costume. I knocked out her contacts, but she forgave me/Chip. 🍪

OKAY, SO, I just want to weigh in on my own personal Tigger experience, as a cast member. In 2005, I was part of the college program and I worked in the Magic Kingdom, so I constantly rode the bus that dropped cast members off at the backstage entrance- there was also a stop off at Toon Town, where costumed characters would be loaded in and dropped off, of which was Tigger (it was usually one of two different actors, one around more often than the other and so we became used to seeing one another). Backstory aside, I was walking down the underground on Halloween day, exhausted and anemic as all hell, with a coworker at my side, when all of a sudden, Tigger LEAPS from around the corner, holding Winnie's head and starts making cutthroat gestures at us. We screamed, of course, and watched as he bolted off around the corner, ready to scare the next victim. AH, good times. Later, I asked the usual Tigger is that was him that scared us, and he confirmed it was so. I hope he's still around...

I think the kid getting punched was justified. I've worn fur suits before and it's hot and you're probably tired by the time you've been outside for an hour or two. The last thing you'd want is some bratty teen pulling on you.
@littlesongbird16 жыл бұрын
I think it was just an accidental reflex. The kid was pulling on the tail and that started to choke the performer who was probably just swinging his arms as a reaction and hit the kid by accident.
@khfan4life3656 жыл бұрын
Ravethecat12 It looked like he was trying to pull the zipper down. The zipper is located in the back and Tigger probably acted on reflex.

Just stumbled across this video and it reminded me of my encounter with a Tigger. Back when I was in high school, my friends and I went to a con where there was this Winnie the Pooh cosplay group, and by the Saturday of the con, Tigger had been arrested for kicking down at minimum 2 hotel doors because he was looking for a party. if I remember right Eeyore was his lawyer.

Its funny, with a lot of these costumes, the older version looks unsettling and creepy only to be massively improved later on. But here, they had a great design and they (for the most part) stuck with it! There were minor changes over time but the basic structure remained the same.

Really loved the presentation here, the timeline card with the bouncing Tiggers was a great touch. Also, that "Long Live The King" moment with Timon was funny. Speaking of Tigger and Timon, I seem to remember noticing the visibility mesh in Tigger's nose when I went to Disneyland as a kid. I seem to remember meeting Tigger and being asked for a kiss, so I kissed him on the nose and he made a honking noise (very humorous for little kid me at the time). I must've figured it was that visibility mesh nose that made him honk like that, because later on that trip, I came across Timon, who had a similar nose which had visibility mesh, so I gave him a kiss too. He was one puzzled meerkat that day!

Love Tigger. 25 years ago a Disney TV promotion team came to our Iowa town. Many of the costumes had been poorly made so I was hired to rework them. I did not have the certification required by Disney but I was all they had and had tons of experience costuming for local theater. Tigger's tail was broken. I wedged a wooden doorstop into the PVC pipe to connect the two sections and wrapped it with duct tape. The show must go on.

Long Live King Richard!
@CraftsmanOfAwsomenes6 жыл бұрын
In real life King Richard died of gangrene after getting shot by a crossbow while laying siege to the fortress of a rebellious viscount in Normandy. He was a pretty shitty king all things considered as after leaving England to crusade he literally never came back. He was on crusade for 10 years and was captured by Salah ad-Din and England was forced to pay a whole year's worth of income just to get him back. On his way home he was held captive by the Holy Roman Emperor while trying to go through friendly territory in Austria which cost England another entire year of income. While he was gone Phillip II of France had started trying to capture English territory in Aquitaine and Normandy. Richard repelled the attack but had to deal with rebellion in England's Angevin territories. This is when he died. During this whole mess is when John was the regent of England. Yes, the real historical King John did become a king. A real one. Threat of rebellion in the north forced him to sign the Magna Carta. John would spend the rest of his rule trying to fight the French where he embarrassingly lost much of the territory that England had in modern day France and ending up dying of dysentery, that is to say violent diarrhea induced dehydration.

Idea for a Disney History video... How about the Evolution of the Disney 'Face Characters'? From when they started to do park 'Walk Arounds' to the more common scheduled 'Meet & Greet' setup and interaction we see today. The face characters from Tinker Bell to Queen Elsa have dominated over the parks in recent years, out shining even the 'Fab-Five'. There's also been some controversy around face characters and hiring practices which I am sure Defunctland's Kevin Perjurer might have some thoughts on.
