Half-Life is Valve’s flagship game. Whenever they release a title game it’s always a breakthrough in gaming. Such as how Half-Life 1 revolutionized the FPS game. It showed that FPS games aren’t just run and gun shooters. It showed that they can be so much more and portray a wonderful story all the while providing revolutionary graphics. Half-Life 2 showed the power of a good physics engine, and the Source engine was so good in fact, it’s still being used today. Half-Life Alyx was released and made to well, revolutionize the VR genre. And, as of now, Half Life Alyx is the best VR game out right now. Giving a compelling story while also showcasing the power of Source 2.

Pong must look really crap to younger people, but it was INSANE in the '70's. We couldn't believe you could actually move stuff on your TV. It seemed like science fiction, I think we were more amazed by that game than any young person will ever be by a game.

It’s understandable. I sometimes realize that it’s crazy we have interactable 3D worlds that we can control, photorealistic or not, and we use it mostly for entertainment. Makes me wonder how we were able to do this. We’re lucky to live in the future

A game I have always wanted was a game that took map data for a given area and if all the right conditions are met, that a simple GTA game *(Like GTA 1 top down) could be created and customized for you to drive around and cause mayhem. With parks and commercial areas ect. Dosnt need to be real world accurate.

I'm so glad Assassin's Creed Unity made this list. This game was so overlooked due to the bad launch, but I played it this year and experienced no bugs at all. The graphics were like a beautiful film, parkour was an absolute dream, and the fencing-style combat was my favorite in the whole franchise. Thank you for shedding some light on this gem.

The games my father grew up with. The games I grew up with. The games my nephew and niece have now. Today's kids are so lucky. Hahaha I remember I had to wash cars, mop fast food restaurant floors to buy my Nintendo and my PlayStation. I'm actually happy with that memory 🤗

I was playing games in the 80s at the arcades, top player week after week. I use to get like 25 free games if my high score stayed up for one week. If it wasn't for us older guys spending .25 cents a game most of these new games wouldn't be around. We funded the industry through the 80s and 90s at the arcades.

Some of these look like arcade games too. I remember always asking my mother for a quarter to go play while she shopped at the department store. I still enjoy playing games it’s really hard to believe how far games have come just imagine in another 10-15-20 years what they will look like. Sometimes I would rather watch a video game walk through as I would a movie

@ateb3 Quake is shown being played in OpenGL, instead of software mode. When Quake released there was only software mode, OpenGl was added by mods well after. If you Google "Quake software mode" you'll see how it's different right away. It is much more than a higher resolution.
