Quran confirms Evolution but perhaps people don't get it the right way. Quran did not say that man came directly out of clay but that he emerged from a 'race' or 'breed' (solala) that came from clay: "We created man from a breed ( solala) of clay:" At the beginning man was nothing worthy of mention: "Didn't there pass on man a space of time when his life was a blank (insignificant thing)?" Man's creation, then, came in stages: "Why do you deny the dignity of God who has created you in gradual stages?" "We created you and gave you form. Then We said to the angels: 'Fall prostrate before Adam.' They all fell prostrate except Eblis who was not among the prostrate." "Your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating man from clay. When I have fashioned him and breathed of my Spirit into him, kneel down and prostrate yourselves before him." These verses indicate that there were stages starting with the creation out of clay which was followed by formation, then fashioning, and, finally, breathing of God's Spirit into the creature: man. The word 'then' used in this context, or the temporal dimension of the entire process, should be understood in relation to 'divine time'; it could mean millions of years: "Each day of His is like a thousand years of your reckoning." Allah azzawajal defines the temporal phases of man's creation in the Quran: "He first created man from clay, then bred his offspring from a drop of despised fluid. He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit. He gave you eyes and ears and hearts;" At the beginning, it is clear, there was clay. Then came a race (solala) bred from semen or 'the despised fluid'. These were the early, humble origins of man or the 'blank' insignificant thing spoken of by the Quran. Man was then moulded and fashioned. After that the 'spirit' was breathed into him and he was', thus, endowed with hearing, sight, and 'heart' becoming Adam. The first man, therefore, emerged at the end of a series of evolutions and was not made instantaneously in the hocus-pocus style you imagine. We read in the Quran: 'Allah brought you from the earth like a plant' (Surah Nuh). This is a clear indication that creation was like the growing of a plant with all the evolutionary phases, time, and gradation that this process passes through. The real puzzle, however, concerns the exact nature of such phases or stages. Did the tree of life originate in its entirety from one source or 'parent' ? This tree is basically of clay by virtue of chemical structure, and it is a fact that all its forms revert after death to their clayey origin. But by 'parent' we mean something more than the clayey origin. The question we want to pose is whether a primeval cell emanated from that primitive clay and multiplied to yield all those genuses and species of plants and animals including man; or whether there were various beginnings: one origin evolving into plants, another developing into such animal branch as the sponge for instance, a third from which fishes evolved, a fourth whose development yielded reptiles, a fifth from which birds emerged, a sixth forming the matrix for the evolution of mammals, and a separate beginning from which man evolved thus having an ancestor of his own like the other genuses? The anatomic similarity among the branches, genuses, and species of the tree of life does not exclude the evolution of each genus from a distinct origin. Such anatomical similarity in all life forms, however, is evidence to the unity of their Maker because they are all fashioned out of one material, in one method, and according to one plan. This is the only necessary consequence of the similarity. But it does not inevitably follow from this fact that all life forms evolved from one origin. Evolution is clearly mentioned in the Quran just as the stages of creation, formation, fashioning, and breathing of spirit are. Science, however, has not yet been able to formulate a valid theory that can explain these stages. If we go back to the 'Sujdah' sura, we will find the following account of creation: "He first created man from clay then bred his offspring from a drop of despised fluid. He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit. He gave you eyes and ears and hearts;" The meaning is quite clear: those early origins of man from which Adam later evolved and which procreated by means of a 'despised fluid' had no hearing or sight or 'heart' (in the sense of mind or reason). These faculties evolved later on when the spirit was breathed into Adam in the last stage of his 'moulding'. Such origins, then, could have been some forms 146 of undeveloped animal life. We remember again in this context the verse: "Didn't there pass on man a space of time when his life was a blank (insignificant thing).'' Man, 1 The truth, in spite of all, still remains an unsolved riddle. No one can claim that he has attained it. What really occurred in creation may have been totally different from our own views and those of scientists. The entire subject continues to be open for investigation. All that science has ventured so far are guesses. Allaho Alam.

I totally agreed with you lately and appreciated your research then I put upon my own research with your given reference and did some critical thinking as I don’t want to keep myself in doubt. Adam form of now human is not a product of Evolution. Allah made every creation in its 1st form, for example 1st human like specie which lacked speech and critical thinking had its 1st form. Similarly our 1st form was Adam. Besides the Ayat of Surah Sajdah that you are quoting doesn’t exactly describes your point of view as it could be like “ First human was created with clay like Adam was formed then his descendants were multiplied with liquid in which the spirit was imparted which gives speech and intellect”. Various stages of human denotes the embryo form as well. So the concept you are describing isn’t clear.

"Scientific theory" is something we are seeing from early 19th century. And Darwin's theory of evolution is already being changed, but the new theory of evolution also includes some parts of Darwin's theory of evolution. Denying theory of evolution in today's time is like denying gravity

Hi! I am a student of engineering, and I have to say that I amused by the level of your research. I didn't expect a non-science major to have such a keen understanding of the subject, but your research lacked some facts/researches, hence your conclusions are wrong. The basic difference between a law and a theory is that a law is a factual statement which predicts the outcome(what would happen) while a theory is a logical statement that defines why the phenomenon occurs(why would it happen). There is a theory reflecting why humans evolved, but there is no law that states that it really happens. There needs to be repetitive testing to prove something, which in this scenario is a really difficult task. Now lets talk about the proves of evolution. But first remember that it's a firm rule of science that correlation doesn't prove causation. The main hypothesis passed by darwin is that small mutational effects led to evolution. Although his proves for mutational effects, etc. Are right, they are not enough to prove that a transition from one species to the other is possible. Infact all the new modern day researches say otherwise, the modern thoery is that all the proves provided by the darwin are correct but his hypothesis is wrong: it is impossible for species to transition into other species. Like was appendix also serves a function, people thought it didnt so people in western countries like the US started getting it removed for no reason. Then people who removed appendix started facing different difficulties mainly with digestion. Now new researches show that appendix is designed to protect good bacteria. Likewise tailbone has a funtion of maintaining and supporting pelvic organs, muscles. Without that you can't even stand. In short get this that everything has a function. Even killing mosquitoes can disrupt the food chain and cause many troubles for us. I still liked your research. But we have a long way to go even in science. We don't have all the answers yet. Its too soon to conclude anything whether the theory of evolution is right or wrong. Be patient.

You have stated that the theory does not prove that TRANSITION from one species to another is possible. I disagree, because we can infer that transition occurred based on the available evidence, as per our current knowledge per se. Science is nothing but the best possible explanation of reality .Let's understand with this example . Occurrence of day and night is reality , but why day and night occur alternatively , what's physical phenomena behind this , rotation of Earth , other Celestial bodies , gravitational force , Mass distance concept and everything defining best possible explanation of how day and night take place is science . Even if the science behind explaining the reality of day and night is wrong . The day and night will keep on happening . So the thing is science that's the method of explaining a reality might be wrong but it doesn't affect reality itself . Scientific theories are repetitive observation based on experiments in closed condition . But the big question is ? .Is it possible to actually test or experiment everything in closed condition ? Is plate tectonic theory or expanding universe theory is based on closed experiment ? The answer is No . Then why do we call it a theory ? Here is the answer , Scientific theories are based on another thing , this is called abductive reasoning . Abductive reasoning is method applied where physically experimentation is not possible . It's a method of evaluation based on observation , where best possible explanation is concluded finally . So things are not so simple to test as bulb and button method u have shown . So scientific theories are not always verified through experiments but evaluated through observation using abductive reasoning method . Scientific theories are valid till another one replaces with more advanced best possible explanation . There are two categories within scientific theories . One type of theories are verified through multiple closed condition experimentation and observation . These theories withstand multiple scrutiny over time and these are call established fundamental theories backed with strong evaluating process . Another type is of best possible explanation so far , but most likely to be replaced with another best possible explanation in future . That's the reason we see many scientific theories have been debunked over the years . There is whole chain of history on those rejected theories . Scientific theories are modified , some part taken other rejected and completely rejected many time . Let's take for example Einstein's static universe theory have been taken down and replaced with Big Bang theory of expanding universe . Quantum mechanics theory is itself considered absurd . Science is not ultimate fact , but it's modifying mending , bending and advancing . Science is not the final rest thing . U can't confuse us that hypotheses lack evidence . Even well recognized theories keep on changing . Forget about hypo thesis . Because u believe evolution is final theory , that's y u r giving your own explanation to Quranic creationism . Because u ignorantly know that a scientific theory can't be changed . But fact is that scientific theories can be changed . U can Google yourself and find there are a number of theories that were debunked over the course of time . These were recognized theories not just hypothesis .
