I was chuckling when you said that it's best to plan ahead, cause I found that I personally am at my best when I'm not planning at all 😂 which does not mean that I'm not just left staring at the blank map for hours sometimes 😂 but once the creative juices start to flow... I mentioned it on one of your live streams, and I've been trying to do it myself lately, but it seems like everyone likes to make a section for their facilities, to hide away from the rest of the park; I've been trying to incorporate the staff buildings into the overall layout. Like, have staff centers spread out around the park instead of all three just crammed right by the control center.

I love this video so much, I've rewatched it many times to remind myself to stop noodling and to use space for aesthetics rather than just more enclosures. To try not to hurry from one habitat to another without doing anything between them. You're certainly inspiring and provides great insight and a reminder to have fun and use our imagination. I enjoy your humor very much and you're one of my favorite gamer youtubers.

I really like octagons. I don’t know why, but having massive octagonal enclosures just looks good to me. Whenever I build parks I use an inordinate amount of octagons and circles. Everywhere. I’ll have to try making more patterns in the paths and adding detail to the fences. I really think it could turn out amazing. I actually have a plan for a specific park build that I think could look even better with your tips.

A bit of advice from me personally, but I used to think these kinds of parks were way too hard for someone like me to create, until I finally decided I wanted to make some really interesting ones. So I started watching videos (like yours, actually!) and tried to copy what you were doing. Remarkably, I found that great looking parks were really very easy to do when you just focus on the specific details and actions being taken. And then I thought I couldn't do parks like these because they're so complicated and you need to have such imagination. So to try and get past that, I started copying what people like yourself did in these videos, and I found the more I did that, the more I opened my mind to the overall layouts and design decisions going into that bigger picture. After doing that for a bit, I found myself doing more and more things on my own until those training wheels came off. I guess my main two points for others are: 1) A lot of these parks look insane, but come down to very easy creation steps that anyone can do, and 2) Feel free to watch videos and copy what's being done. By doing so, you're training your mind to how that kind of creativity works until you get familiar enough to break off and start doing your own thing. I'm personally blown away by how far my design skills have come since JW:E2 came out, and it's thanks to the incredible creativity and well-made videos people like yourself put out there for other fans. So thank you for everything you do, not only in providing such fun content for others to see, but inspiring others to open up and be more creative themselves! :-)

I've been working on a park with a lot of decorations and pathing but now I've run into the opposite problem of the game crashing every five minutes so your console or PC's performance is something to keep in mind when building on larger maps lol. Going off of the elevation tip, in the first game I also made a really cool park on Nublar 93 with a series of plateaus of different heights connected by monorails and a river running through the bottom inspired by a photograph of the Yangtze river.

I do feel they should be able to add some sort of viewing range from the paths, as long as it's not the concrete fence/wall. Zoo Tycoon 1 +2, and planet zoo have this. They don't need to make it so each guest's view is like the monorail or tour/gyrospheres. Just a possible viewing range from the paths as long as it's not obstructed by a wall, tall rocks or scenery you clearly wouldn't be able to see through. Make the visibility range less than a viewing gallery/tower or tour so it would still be important to have those, but would definitely make things better and clearly more realistic.
@TribbleArtCreations2 жыл бұрын
A few people have already said this, but you definitely can be funny. Between your attitude coupled with some of the things you say, you make me laugh. Anyways, great tips. I haven't played either JWE in a while(just busy with work and stuff), but seeing this makes me want to play right now. I'm terrible at feeling I can't waste any space. Also, I've tried being as creative with pathing as you.... don't come close. Most of my paths are very square. I've been better at putting decorations, and trying to get certain vibes in different locations or enclosures. Anyways, great video!

The Achilles heal of JWE and JWE2 is map size. As they continue to add new dinosaurs to expand the roster it only becomes more evident that the maps are tiny. Also there are a few key animals still missing from their roster. Namely Shoniosaurus and any example of a prosauropod, which where very unique animals that would be very different from any animal currently in the game. Also adding some Crocs would be cool. They existed at the same time, unlike Dimetrodon. Purusaurus would be so cool. It could definitely sell a new dino pack. A few more tiny dinos would be cool as well. I was super happy they finally put Deinocherius in with the feathered pack. I've wanted him for ever. I wish the game had a bigger following. The options for expanding the games roster are literally endless. It is the best Zoo Builder today by far playable on Console.

It has been on my mind for quite some time that there are no evaluation criteria for aesthetics in construction simulations. I see this as a very interesting research topic. Theoretically it would be enough to place all buildings functionally and connect them with noodle paths to get a 5 star park. But there is no measurable value that can be used to judge if you have built an appealing park.

Awesome video!!! So I was testing an exhibit with Compsognathus, Struthiomimus, Pachycephalosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Stegosaurus, and Brachiosaurus. They all seem to tolerate eachother, even tho the cohabitation limit was a little over for some dinosaurs like the para, they were still very cool with eachother, I have yet to test if a stego and a trike would still be in the comforble range if all the other needs are met and they were still in the same pen? Might test that when I get home from my mini collage today
