Fun Fact: A study sometime around 2009 suggests Dracorex and Stigymoloch are just juvenile stages of the Pachycephalosaurus. With Draco being younger than Stiggy. So Evo's juvenile and adult combination here at 1:50 is the most accurate baby dinosaur you'll get.

@GoGojiraGo
@GoGojiraGo Жыл бұрын
@@Dan55888 Yeah, by Jack Horner, regarding Torosaurus. Which was completely shattered by the discovery of juvenile Torosaurus. Of course, Jack is also the one who's spent a couple of decades insisting Tyrannosaurus rex was nothing but a giant ugly stinky ineffectual scavenger because he got upset he found eight specimens of T. rex while looking for his one true love, hadrosaurids.
@hplovecraftcat
@hplovecraftcat Жыл бұрын
@@Dan55888 as the other person stated, that theory was debunked. We've found various fossils of baby and juvenile Triceratops. Another 2 things that Jack Horner seemed to forget were that not only is Triceratops larger than Torosaurus, Triceratops doesn't have holes in it's frill, while Torosaurus did.
@RaithGyaron
@RaithGyaron Жыл бұрын
@@GoGojiraGo Jack Horner has become a philosopher of sorts more than a paleontologist in that he comes up with theories that he really has no basis for. Like that the Tyrannosaurus only saw movement because it was a scavenger not a hunter. That Pachycephalosaurus didn't actually butt heads because the skull is too fragile. Dracorex and Stygimoloch are just juvenile stages of the Pachycephalosaurus only because we haven't found adult Stygimoloch or young Pachycephalosaurus, and the Dracorex only because it lived alongside the other two. And, of course, trying to make Torosaurus adult Triceratops.

I even think those are not possible anymore at this stage. Either of the Dominion expansions would have been THE *perfect* moment to add Beta. The fact that they didn't, pretty strongly implies they have absolutely no intention to. Beta makes no sense for any other DLC, since she was only in Dominion.

Frontier should deffo add a new mechanic into the game where we raise baby dinos in nurseries, and we get a 1st person view of inside the hatchery building where a cinematic cutscene shows a baby dino hatching out of its egg, and you can choose to let it out as a baby or grow it up inside the hatchery and release it as an adult.

Fun fact! We probably DON'T have to imagine Dracorex or Stygimoloch as a juvenile Pachycephalosaurus at all! Because it is extremely possible that they already are! We only have very few examples of Dracorex and Stygimoloch and it has been theorized that both are just different examples of young Pachysephalosaurus! With Dracorex being a young juvenile Pachy and Stygimoloch being an older adolescent Pachy!

Funny enough, I actually did this once in Jurassic world Evolution 1. Basically I had the 2001 Brachiosaurus skins be a substitute for Argentinosaurus while I used Camarasaurus as the young Argentinos. Was really proud of myself for doing that back then. 😌 I'm happy that we do have more species to play with and have some be the "younger" versions of their "adult" counterparts... makes the game feel way less of the same thing over and over again using the exact same species. Really appreciate this video for opening my eyes to even more substitutes that I will definitely be using in the future. Thanks, Evo! 🥰

i have a combo! its Alamosaurus and Amargasaurus, with Alamosaurus being the adult and Amargasaurus being the baby. for imagination u could just say Amargasaurus's neck rises as it gets older, and it loses its second row of spikes when it hits maybe pushing subadult. u can imagine that the second row of spikes is only there for protection bc of predators, and one more thing u could imagine is more spikes and bumps grow around its body as it grows older to match the Alamosaurus. i hope u guys like this!!

The using variant designs as different species thing I've been doing for a while, and that would be a great idea for a tips video. My personal uses have been default Giganotosaurus as Mapusaurus, default Brachiosaurus as Giraffititan, default Dreadnoughtus as Australotitan and other giant sauropods in formations with them but not represented in game, Sauropelta and Polacanthus as nodosaurids in places with them but without representation in the game, and Parasaurolophus as Charonosaurus for Asia-themed enclosures.

4:04 From what we know from the franchise that literally makes 0 sense, but you do you, we all like having fun in our own ways
@EvolutionSquare
@EvolutionSquare Жыл бұрын
actually we don't know anything about how raptors raise their young in the franchise... We saw them go after eggs, that's it. Assuring you have as many offspring as possible by getting the eggs backs, is not the same as being a nurturing parent.
@frostbitetheannunakiiceind6574
@frostbitetheannunakiiceind6574 Жыл бұрын
But we *do* see raptors being nurturing parents, what about Blue and Beta? She is very nurturing and caring and protective of her in every scene they are in including the scene at the end when they reunite. Now I dont know if Blue is just "different" or something but it seems very odd to me that this highly intelligent, highly social, animal that form life bonds with their pack members that are canonically are smarter then dolphins, would be worse parents and show less care and nurture to their young then the rexes, which are shown to be solitary outside the breeding season. given the pack social setting I think it would make the most sense that the whole pack would take turns and help take care of, feed, raise and teach the young all the skills they will need to go out and start their own packs. and if its not in their nature to be nurturing parents why did blue and her siblings form such a strong parental bond with owen? if its in the parents instincts to have a more hands off approach to raising their young, shouldnt it also be instinct for the young to be more independent? also the jp3 raptors had alot, and my mean *alot* of eggs, 2 or 3 eggs being missing would not effect them at all it really wouldn't, but they went through such lengths to get them back that most animals probably would've given up but no they followed them across like half the island when they still had plenty more eggs they didnt make a dent. lastly its stated several times how the dinosaurs expacially the raptors are more closely related to birds then reptiles, and even know they are scaly and have lizard dna, their behavoir seems very birdlike, and the vast majority of birds are amazing parents. Still a great video this is all just my opninion at the end of the day, and please dont let me bring down your creativity in the slightest or change how you play the game I think we all should play it how we like this is all just my opinion and you have yours, and thats perfectly ok not everyone is the same im not trying to hate, just my opion and these videos are great for ideas. I'm just saying that given what we do know about how wild raptors live and what interactions we have seen from parents and babies, the tough love theory just seems unlikely (to me) great video though I mean it this isnt a hate comment or anything I swear just a friendly discussion/debate your an amazing youtuber :D and that is truth

This is a neat video, maybe a video about sexually dimorphic skin combinations and dinosaurs that can substitute as other species would be a cool idea s well. I've done all of these things since JWE 1 and they've definitely enhanced the experience for me. Especially as a predominantly Site B style player. Though i do things a little differently, these are still nice options to have. Using Moros as a hatchling Tyrannosaur is definitely a must. But i'd argue Qianzhousaurus is a better Juvenile / Subadult morph than Albertosaurus. Since young Tyrannosaurs were a lot sleeker than their adult counterparts. Maybe Albertosaurus is a better canon option though. I would also say Australovenator is great option for all of the large 3 fingered theropods in the game, especially Allosaurus. I'd even argue it's a better option for Indominus too.

Some combos I’ve thought of and are using: Chasmosaurus as baby Pentaceratops (Realized this was showed in the video) Baryonyx as baby Spinosaurus (gotta kind of squint for this one) Herrerasaurus as baby giga (normal model/non giga looking one) Homalocephale as baby dracorex Spinoraptor as baby Spinosaurus Give me your ideas in the reply section!

Probably going to use Moros/Rex combo as Tyrannosaurus and Qianzhou/Rex combo as Tarbo when I get to play
