Then I saw your name Sibley I don't know if you remember me but I used to work in the FSR condo building where you and your family vacationed in Austin! It is so great to see you are doing well. Say hi to your brother and parents for me !!!! you guys were one of the best restaurants we had!!!! always respectful and never full of your selves like other peope who live there. I came across this video while looking for VR/AR to buy. I got clear understanding of the practical applications of VR vs AR (seems like with VR you have to invest heavily on media content, lots of legal hassles with IP) vs AR which is more future proof and less spend (as you can use what you see). I am specifically looking at applications of VR/AR for making education more fun for kids. This has to be by far the best presentation on these topics. Just enough technical information with great examples of practical applications.
@infirmux4 жыл бұрын
Applications of VR vs AR... Your conclusion is not entirely right. Please keep researching info. As for VR educational stuff (for kids and not): Google Versailles , Google Earth, ShareCare, Anne Frank House, Everest, Experience Colorblindness, Mission ISS, Nefertari, Ocean Rift, Oculus Medium, Smithsionian: Venice, The Blu, Rougeau Gallery, This is Our Future, Titans of Space, Wrench. And many more.

Yes definitely I’ve been on conference calls with Qualcomm and have saw there slide shows it is no surprise that they are trying to move the industry forward just like any other VR company by having VR XR or AR around your neck when not on your eyes like a thin band think Star Trek or sun glasses that are not going to be these huge blocky headsets that they are now almost the same way computers were fourty fifty years ago when they were the size of refrigerators now they are paper thin laptops we maybe seeing this as early as the next few years with cool things to come like Apple Glass, AR sunglasses

It’s the ‘Creative Thought’ that FIRST creates and moulds the warm cup, or the cold cup. Not the other way round. Otherwise it would be like saying that the tail wags the dog. Thought is the highest level of creation. Each one of us being but a perfect thought idea held dear within the Mind & Heart of Our Father (Pattern & Shaper) God. Eve’n though She hasn’t yet learned to create perfectly ‘Just’ like Our Heavenly Father. “You must be perfect ‘be-cause’ your Heavenly Father is perfect”. And YOU are but effect. Who also ‘can’ become a perfect cause one day. The body (Mother Matter) is but an effect and not a cause of anything. Simply a visible physical communication device for the invisible creative Spirit source power for the mind. Although of course, She (effect) also be no less than that. His-Story of great ideas: the His-Story of Our Father God’s Great Thoughts being represented in Form through His People looking upon His Creation from mere peepholes. Aka ‘thinking God’s Thoughts With God’. Credit where credit be due and all that me thinks 🙏 In short where the ‘Head Starts’ (Cause). The body (effect) simply follows. Getting the relationship right is also a great start 🙏

"If we want to teach people a new way thinking don't bother to teach them, instead give them the tool, the use will lead to new ways of thinking." - I guess the same we can say about guns. Sure, don't bother to teach them and give to them and that will lead to new ways of thinking. Total mind control is what they want.

15:45 - She still doesn't realize how sad this "progress" is... and she clearly has no clue about what it takes to be/become a real human being and what REALLY improves quality of life... just another seller, selling things. Welcome to her version of a brave new world :( Let me make a suggestion: How about trying to be a REAL HUMAN BEING in a REAL WORLD instead of trying to become an UNREAL PERSON in an UNREAL WORLD? @"Children learn faster/better with AR/VR ..." I would like to say one thing about this. It is certainly a fact that children learn faster as a result, but "adults" forget another important fact. Example: If a child observes a bird through VR / AR and possibly interacts with the animal, they learn EXACTLY what the programmers want! (Indoctrination) There is NO REAL interaction here, because the virtual animal has no control over its actions at any time. CONCLUSION: What is supposedly quickly learned quickly reaches its limits. In the real world this is different, because here unexpected interactions between the observer (children) and the observed (bird) can take place, which require the use of human flexibility. This is where fantasy and imagination come into play, which contributes MAJORLY to the healthy development of human brains. CONCLUSION: What is slowly researched and thus learned is constantly expanding its limits. Please do not blindly chase after any technological achievements or use them carelessly with our children, just because a nice woman in a chic jacket from a Romulan Fashion Store (which i love!) dreams of her version of a world worth striving for.
@Rynergy992 жыл бұрын
I like your point of view. The way I see it there is no good or bad to this. Maybe its being used and forced on us for more control of how we view things in the world and people will blindly follow along but its really up to the responsibility of individuals who part take in this new system (Moderation). Self destruction will come with this also. Not that I wish it on anyone but I feel like humans will become more disconnected then they already are. What's fake will always have cracks and wholes in it and will eventually fall, regardless no matter what it is. I just hope Peace & Sanity always be with those who discard taking part of this new wave. And peace be with those who do. Say Hello to New Times.
@cynthiading1348 Жыл бұрын
First of all you assume these objects needed for real world interaction are available everywhere and to everyone. Secondly you skip, hop and step away from actual subjects where virtual interaction would do a world of good. No one is suggesting you live completely in a virtual world, augmented reality and mixed reality aim to blend the two together for better results. Planets, anatomy, chemistry, arts, e.t.c are some of the subjects that would be ten times easier if we could play around with it virtually rather than memorizing facts and figures that can be ridiculously boring and tiresome. Do you have planets that the children can interact with in real life? Instead of imagining it's here to turn people into virtual addicts....... Why not think about the good it can do. There's nothing that's a 100% good or bad. Technology is how you use it, you can do virtually what needs to be done virtually and do physically what needs to be done physically. These two things can exist in the same space you know.
