I'm starting to feel like more firm hold curl creams are what my hair likes the most. That Pacifica one opened the gate of addiction!!!!!

FYI Evolvh just came out with a gel, it was probably just after your video posted.

Thank you! I saw that. I think they came out with it after I posted or right around the same time? But I definitely want to try the gel. I’m loving the brand as a whole so I’m excited about the gel! Thank you for watching!

@@CurlyChelle547 Yes, I saw The Holistic Enchilada did a review of it on 9/9/21, so I'm guessing it came out shortly before that.

I've tried their "moisture shine" (it must be their idea of a joke, because there is nothing moisturizing about the shampoo & conditioner) because someone had given it to me & the shampoo was actually felt a bit stripping. Their total control creme actually worked like a gel cream for me, & gave me a bit of a cast. It also gave a bit of flash drying. I've noticed that products with a lot of flax/linseed tend to cause flash drying for me. I used it alone which just made my hair feel sorta gross and it didn't look great and also didn't last at all. I tried it twice more with other gels, but since it still caused some flash drying, it just didn't work well. Then I tried the color line, which I ordered due to liking the ingredients (had some protein) and it came with a reconstructing mask. The curl line has that coconut oil which you already know is Not my thing lol. Not sure. The color shampoo & conditioner was much better, though I had to use a lot of the conditioner - but my hair felt nice. The leave in was super watery, but I didn't mind that at all since it didn't weigh my curls down. I have the trial size ultimate styling lotion but haven't tried it yet. It's one of those "lotions" that actually look more like a gel serum. I just haven't gotten around to trying it. I have been tempted to try the curl line despite the coconut oil, thinking maybe if I just find the "right" product lol... Even though I've tried SO many... Including recently with the Camille Rose curl maker. I see such great results on everyone! With that one, at 1st I was like "oh, this isn't so bad, my hair actually feels kinda nice!" - as opposed to the immediate ick feeling. And then, the next day rolled around and my hair felt both dry AND greasy at the same time, as per usual 😒 I had had such high hopes! Especially since it even felt nice going on and after diffusing! But nope, my hair took on a weird, puffy, waxy feel & I couldn't wait until my next washday. So, I'm just scared to try their (Evolvh's lol, I've gone off on a tangent) curl line. My hair just can't take coconut oil in stylers. A little bit in a well formulated rinse out conditioner is one thing, but if it sits on my hair fuhgeddaboutit lol.

Omg that was super long, lol, but I actually have more to say 😂 I want to try their volumizing mousse/foam, perhaps in conjunction with the ultimate styling lotion if I end up liking it.

That’s interesting about the moisture shine. I think part of the reason the curl line worked so well for me is because of the coconut oil. My hair loves it. But I definitely do know your hair is NOT about the coconut oil. Lol. I’d like to try both the ultimate styling lotion and the volumizing foam. I’m intrigued now since the others worked so well. Maybe even the hairspray too? At any rate, I’m looking forward to playing around with these and trying them with other products from other lines. As always, thank you for watching and commenting! I always enjoy the comments!

Your hair always looks so beautiful! I have not been able to get more than 2 days between washes this summer 😫! The humidity has been so bad & I am constantly sweating. Frizzes it up immediately. What do you think is the best long hold gel for dew points in the 70's? Thats what I have and will be dealing with for another 2 months! 🤨 tfs! Blessings!

Thank you! And yuck on the dew points in the 70s. 🤢When I lived in humidity, I found Biolage Gelée to be a great gel for that! And recently I tried the new Ouidad Twist line. The gel in the white bottle (weather up I think it’s called) was amazing in the rain and humidity while I was testing it. Got 3 days easily. I was really impressed. Normally it’s very dry here but, like I said, it rained and was humid while I tested it and it did really well. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching!

Unfortunately EVOLVh is not available in Europe. Do you know the new Kerastase Curl manifesto line? I am specifically interested in the conditioner and the gel-cream as I have seen some good reviews about these products. Or is Kerastase not so popular in the US? Thank you for the review of the Alterna mousse, I really like it. Without your video I wouldn't have bought it, as it is quite expensive.

This is off subject, I'm looking at color depositing conditioners, I'm tired of coloring and highlighting, I'm 49 and trying to blend my grays. I've tried the tresseme gloss in light brunette. Not too impressed. So any advice???
@CurlyChelle547

Most color depositing shampoos and conditioners are usually formulated to help keep color treated hair vibrant between color appointments. They can help enhance natural hair to a certain extent and can stain grey to a small degree if it’s pigmented enough. However most are not pigmented enough to cover or blend grey. Especially if that grey hair is particularly resistant. I used to use Aveda color depositing products years ago to keep my color vibrant and it is quite pigmented. I don’t remember if it blended my grey though. I had a lot less when I was using it. I know Biolage has color depositing conditioner and Moroccanoil has color depositing hair masks. Both seem to be quite pigmented (more so the Moroccanoil) but I’ve not used them myself. I just know both brands very well and trust the quality. That being said, I don’t know if any of the ones mentioned will help blend your grey. It depends on your greys. The porosity and whether they’re resistant will be a huge factor in determining if the conditioner can stain them enough to blend them. But given the info I saw about the Moroccanoil masks that might be a good one to try. Sorry, I couldn’t be more help, my experience has been limited to color enhancing vs grey blending with shampoos and conditioners. Thank you for watching!
