I was under the impression that marching also works for reinforce that is why it’s called marching and not just while leading the army to attack

The text is kinda weird in this game. Marching is also attacking only.

Marching and attacking are the same type of buffs, they activate on same conditions, evony just loves to trick people with strange wordings. They won't work on reinforcing or defense, but will work in alot of other conditions, including defending buildings on battlefields, when you defend those buildings your troops are considered "marching". It is pretty good type of buff to have on your attacking blazons for example, or on your pvp generals.

A hint for maxing generals to upgrade the victory column: use purple generals (e.g. Lucy) who don't need the 4th specially. It's much easier rhan using gold generals!

I don't think you can afford to put lots of gems and runestones, into purple generals as ftp player. Hell, even as big coiner I would rather not do it, because it is just a waste of resources. Why would anyone do it.

@mundomundovich2265 Lucy is useful for gathering. But I guess the point is that fully speccing Lucy is cheaper than a gold general

@@Brettyn No, because speccing gold general that you use for PVP is way more important than speccing useless purple general that will be used as assistant for gathering, and you will have to fully spec your pvp generals anyway at some point. Its fairly obvious. Don't give people bad advices like that, because Evony is already extremely punishing and misleading game, especially for new players.

@mundomundovich2265 I guess we're going to.need to disagree. If you're keen to avoid spending immortal runes then purple generals are an option. This allows you to save them for those pvp generals
