I cringe every time I see that twine or cords. What will they think of next.

@donnadees1971, why does jute cord make you cringe? Also, "What will they think of next?" Jute cord has been used as a craft material for a long time now. It was especially popular, in the 1970s and was used in macrame and for creating Ojo de Dios ( more commonly known as "God's eyes"). I learned how to do both types of crafts, back then. The stuff definitely isn't anything new.

@@C.O.G. It is the same with the recycling of jeans. But why not? It is timeless too. In the 70ies we saw it , now we see it..by the way jute and jeans are very pleasant materials to my eyes. Love from Germany!

@@hollyhope7227 , indeed I agree. I have done many types of handcrafts and old jeans are great for making tote bags, purses and many other items. Take care, from Tennessee USA.

@@C.O.G. Ohh Tennessee! How wonderful! In the late 70ies, when I was young, naiv and very optimistic, I hitchhiked across almost all States. From N.Y. down to Florida, up to South Carolina and westward the southern route to L.A. 101 to San Francisco, (Reno, at those days the only place where people were allowed to gamble next to Vegas), than boring middle west back to N.Y., Bosten Massachusetts and back home. Those days were completely different. Toilets for whites, blacks and "others". In Louisiana they did not serve me food in a truck stop because I was white. Strange experiences for me. South Carolina, New Mexico, Arizona and California...I loved them the most. I have heard: 1 apple in CA "only" 5 dollars, almost as expensive as the Hawaiian Islands. Toast bread 6 dollars a pack in O'ahu, here 1 € :-))) I always wanted to come back. But for hitchhiking I am too old, much too old, times are more than dangerous... and the German poverty is disgusting when you are retired. But I LOVE to think back to these old times. I send you a lot of warmhearted wishes from Berlin!
