I agree with the scripture on 1 Samuel 8:8-17 however that was before Jesus died and resurrected. Now after His resurrection, His Grace has justified us to come before Him and be heard attentively because we are His righteousness. Therefore God may not approve of human government but He surely can influence it for the good of His children when we invite Him. His nature is Love!

Yes but God will not make them win election or be president or government,God involvement is for those already in authority ie why he says pray for those in authority already not pray so they will win and be in authority ,that's what the pastor is saying

Paul the Apostle was writing a letter to the Romans, it's not God commanding that. Go back to the word of God through His prophet. God had long time been King over Israel until when they revolted asking for a king like the other nations who have zero covenant with the Everlasting God Almighty. 1st Book of Samuel.
