The river refer to the holy spirit, so as long as the holy spirit indwells the believers, rivers can flow from the believers belly.

This is where the confusion is for me. For starters i haven't found a verse that Jesus quoted from in the old testament. There are a couple of scriptures in the old testament that establish that God is the river/ God has the river/ he is the well of salvation etc, but none that supports that wording of john 7vs38. Not withstanding, contextually i understand what damina is saying. John 7vs39 says when he said this, he spoke of the spirit that those who believe in him would receive. So (water) there resembles the spirit that Jesus would give to those who believe in him, John 4vs13, 14 supports that narrative, so i fully agree. But here's an issue, if I'm teaching something like this, considering the wording makes it is easy for people to insinuate that the scripture is talking about their own belly and the argument would come exactly from how Jesus worded that statement. So how does one actually go over that because while i understand the men of God and agree with him, i feel a strong case on this specific aspect was not made on his part.

We will not stop drawing water until we have be consumed by life, which is the final stage of the drawing water from the stream or wells of salvation, they are 2 aspects of Gods salvation the initial salvation and the continues salvation the initial salvation is the regeneration of our spirit which happens when Christ comes into us after this we need the day by day salvation which is the salvation that comes not through the death of Christ but by his life, Rom. 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified in His blood, we will be saved through Him from the wrath. Rom. 5:10 For if we, being enemies, were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more we will be saved in His life, having been reconciled, Rom. 5:11 And not only so, but also boasting in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. This speaks about the continuous salvation the initial salvation reconcile us with God through his sons death the continuous salvation saves everyday by the growth of Christ as life in us amen

What's the difference from what they preached? Correcting the uncorrectable? There is no difference between Jews and Gentiles; but, in point of justification and acceptance with GOD, the Gospel sets them both upon the same level. Those who are admitted into fellowship with GOD are and must be very humble and very reverent in their approaches to HIM. Jesus said out of your belly not Jesus belly. He's talking of the HOLY SPIRIT that the believers will receive. If you're an unbeliever that doesn't scriptures, you should u understand english. @@christophernsien7624 Yeah, but he said it's given us to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom. That's why I would rather take Jesus at his word rather than someone else's semantic gyminastics. I'm better off taking Jesus at his word even if I misunderstand it than to follow some other construction and reasoning. Even if my Pastor says something that is contradictory or something that I cannot understand, I will not take it. I always seek the guidance of the inward witness.

Answer: As many that believe in him (Jesus), those are the ones the river will flow within them, the living water will flow from Jesus's belly to the believers.
