Good presentation. One correction, though. At 2:07 - the Embraer 100 and the Cessna M2 each outsell the Honda Jet by a considerable margin. I knew several people who worked at Honda Aircraft. The company pays well below the industry standard; one reason that it has a high turnover rate. It's hard to attract and retain top talent when pay and morale are low. It'll be interesting to see if the parent company will invest enough in the VTOL concept to get good engineers and others there, or whether Honda will be content to let other companies remain in the lead.

The Aston Martin proposal lives up to the company's tradition of beautiful vehicles. The future of these vehicles have of course great dependency on technological developments but also will have to break through the legal barriers.

Transportation is changing. We are moving to a multimodel world. The sad USA is so far behind, we just depend on the auto. Trains, Planes, Cars, Trucks, Buses, Small Urban Vehicles, Motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, all have a place in the future. All need space, all will be electric, me I cannot wait. Fresh air, people all around, we need ways to get around, not those huge parking lots, all that concrete instead of green.

Range is not enough! Needs to be 1,000 miles minimum. We in rural America have two dive 100 miles one way to go to Costco.

Nice. I wonder if the design diversity will remain as they are developed and actually fly, of if they will converge on a couple of design types?

The RR PTS1..is a gas turbine connected to a dynamo.? Does that mean it’s basically a combustion engine?
@ElectricAviation3 жыл бұрын
Yes. It uses fuel
@dejayrezme86173 жыл бұрын
It's a good example of incrementalism that doesn't really solve the issue of eliminating greenhouse gasses. But maybe they can switch to carbon neutral biofuel. I guess it can also make use of boosts from distributed propulsion.

250 mile range is over reach, for several reasons. The first is that multi prop configurations dedicate most of their energy to maintaining loft, rather than forward motion. For this reason, there are inherent vulnerabilities when dealing with atmospheric conditions, such as wind shear. Another is vector dynamics, bc low velocity forward motion is subjected to rapidly changing conditions which increase the frequency of emergency landings. Security is a problem. Over long distances the crafts are vulnerable to small arms and lasers, drones, and flocks of migrating birds.

The US navy recently released the fact that they currently have no less than 8 different antigravity generation type of devices. Just think of you could cheaply duplicate the technology for personal vehicles! No inertia, amazing flight characteristics. I could provide the lecture about this if it has not been removed.

I think the ukranian Ant-E electric nanotrike deserves a review on this amazing channel. Powered by a german electric system from Geiger Engineering the Ant-E can fly for 1.5 hours safely and cheaply. The future of sport aviation no doubt . And you can buy one of these aircraft today. I hear that the UK made Peabee sub 70 flexwing trike is coming out with an electric version soon too. Ahhhh the future looks good !

Very well display of craft comparisons, we hope to see them beyond the CGI 'drawing board.' I'd perfer the Porsche BW VTOL, has promise in a sky, road to sky ergonomic transform. Just needs road wheels descent as 55mph. Its Important these crafts don't have obstructive form, size and energy wiegh. Most importantly, an evacuation parachute/ejects, as they are many stories high of senarios. The Aston Martin, is a flying grasscutter, not sure at such speed it will be approved.

What on Earth is the point of building a sport EVTOL, when we don't even have a standard EVTOL in production, or available to purchase? I will be 55 this year, and am hoping to live long enough to actually see my first "flying car". Just build one that is safe, easy to use, and affordable.
