Monique is exquisite, she doesn't need to put her knee on the shoulder to make it look amazing. She portraits perfectly a young passionate woman in love. Brava Monique... and Legris is a GREAT partner.

A totally fresh "alive" interpretation of this dance. They portray all the energy and passion, raw emotion of the lovers. I like how they each brought their own unique style to these well known roles. I always love his dancing but had never seen her before-now. Their outstanding technique nicely highlighted by how much they gave to this performance-an audience can't ask for any more. I really enjoyed this-thanks for sharing!

You should watch the full thing. For me, this is my favorite version of the entire ballet. Nureyev created so many incredible moments and told this story perfectly.

Their perfect technique makes this difficult choreography look easy. I fear that because they aren't doing flashy tricks, they are underappreciated. I love the controlled passion, the lovely flow of strength and grace, the flickers of fire! And I can feel, from both, the enjoyment and love for what they are doing. This is such a pleasure to watch. I posted it on Facebook for Valentine's Day.

I met him in Beijing twice when he visited the Peking University. I asked him to sign all of the dvds he was in that I had. He was really nice and his dances always sublime! I love his Phebeus in Notre Dame, too
