This was before TFI Friday had a delay on the broadcast to give them a chance to silence any swearing. For anyone outside of the UK not familiar with the show, it was on live at 6pm, hence the no swearing policy. A week before Ewan swore, Shaun Ryder of the Happy Monday's had sworn and got the show in trouble. About a month after Ewan was on, Shaun Ryder was back and performed the Sex Pistols hit 'Pretty vacant'. During it, he swore multiple times and the camera went back to Chris Evans (the host, not the American actor) with his head in his hands! It was a great show and really encapsulated the 90's. Used to have it on before going to meet my mates in town for a Friday night piss up. Happy times.
