Scrapping e-waste marathon part 7 is about as far as I go until some major steps fwd are made, Life in lock down is getting monotonous so it's time I move on from scrapping PC & servers and moving into the garage.

Thank you for another interesting video. I'm not going to ever scrap anything, but I enjoy watching your journey and seeing what you scrap out. I get to see things I would never see in my lifetime. I don't care if you do 12 hours of nothing just scrapping out servers or computers... it's all interesting to watch. Love your commentary on everything you talk about as well. Brittleness of plastic can be caused by excessive drying time or drying temperature such as at full heat for several days. Excessive drying either drives off volatiles in the , making it more sensitive to degradation of the material by reducing the molecular weight.

Hi Ben great scrapping where I am there isn't a good way to sell boards and I really don't get alot of them. So I collect and depopulate everything what can't process for precious metals I hope to resell as used electronic components. With the price of gold today and. Kilo of ic's averaging over 2g of gold that's 2 good to pass up pulling them.

Ben, you should consider taking on one or two paying students every six months. The students get to learn from one of the best scrapers in the business, and you get the help you need to clean up all of you inventory. I would pay really good money to learn from you.

Just as a tip I do not undertand why you do not melt copper while you scrap. Put on furnace while scrapping pcs. Have a break,pour one ingot,,take a cola,put it on again ond scrap some moore. Same with gold recovery,take a bucket put in gold fingers,and just let it sit while scrapping. When it is done put it in a seald bin,dug down in the chicken coop. Gold foils take up way less space then the fingers or ram....

I'm currently working at a place that are scrapping, refurbishing and reselling computers. So all of this looks so familiar ^_^ I wish to do it at home at some point. So how do you get these old computers? I would like to melt some copper too, just for fun.

Hello, saving on tape it's much more acurate and long term save than HDD but it's longer to recover data when you want it :) I prefer tape saving than HDD

Wow...01 in Australia is a DUI / DWI..? Here is the USA .08 is a DUI/ DWI..and even commercial truck drivers is 0.03 before DUI/DWI.. Australia is very strict when it comes to alcohol and driving.. As we can have 2 or 3 drinks and drive without worrying about the cops..after that we will wait 1 hr per drink after 3 drinks to drive safely..commercial truck drivers can get totally sh*t faced and wait 8hr to 10 hrs before driving Semi Trucks weighing 80,000 lbs plus..
