So pleased to spend time at your felting retreat! Wonderful place where you can feel the love, beauty and peace you have built in the old school house. I came from Illinois to attend with my sister-in-law from Minnesota. Such an honor to be there! Hope what you have built continues to thrive and thrill! 😊

You can use coloring book pages to needle punch. Lots of fun with them. Hugs

We have a saying in our family: "It never hurts to ask! The worst they can say is no, yet by asking it might lead to something else positive!" So, I say go for both Martha and Joanna...and perhaps pitch to Fiber Arts Now magazine and other magazines that fit the profile of your market. In fact, taking a moment to segment your market would be fruitful. What are the three or four main groups of customers you currently have? Who are they? What is the need you are fulfilling with each segment? Then target your marketing to each.

I sure like the idea of Martha Stewart promoting Shepard Industries and the Nome Schoolhouse. I can see her trying needle felting! Couldn't hurt to reach out to her. She would be so impressed with your story. Maybe the young woman who did the shop tour videos recently (blanking on her name) could reach out to her people.

Thinking about the peg loom and teachers, have you ever woven with straws? We used to do it as kids and it would be something that everyone has access to, not only the teachers but the students being taught and if they teach their friends and so on. It is very simple and I think will work on a similar basis as the peg loom though I have never used one of them.

Agreed on Martha and Chip and Joann!! They would be amazing and blown away, I know it. I’d also send an invitation to Governor Burgum and his wife to stay over- especially because you have won a ND tourism award and I’d also contact Josh Duhamel to bring his wife and stay over. He does a lot to promote our state. Both of them could enjoy the serene quiet and have a little break- and you know they would be so impressed with what you are doing! 😁

I cant think of a "famous" person i think because I dont a celebrity/fame follower, theyre just people doing their jobs like everyone else. But I think for the fiber arts business/ retreat center aspect reaching out to a few fellow you tube vloggers with large cult like follower numbers. Send them a promo pack to open and talk about on video, invite them to come and tour. Theres a big thing on you tubers having retreat weekends their followers buy "tickets" and maybe teach a class or just get together and do their craft all weekend.
