Oh my gosh you just mentioned me! Thank you so much for watching and for your kindness! Onomatopoeia is a new word for me too! How about humhum as I think llamas hum? Thank you for taking us on the visit! Cheers, Christine

I like your thinking about the quilting show. I was a quilter for many years before I tried needle felting. Quilters are crafters at heart! I have tried many needle arts. And needle felting has become one of my favorites!

I wonder if some quilters still use wool batts? When I was growing up I used a handmade quilt with a wool batt and it was wonderful in winter.

Hi Ladies, my husband, Dave, thought that Guffaw would be a fun name for the baby Llama. 😃

Oh, am just tickled to be the winner! I will email about that. My two cents worth on the Michael's/Hobby Lobby thing, I do not think that is the place for you. I think if you ventured into that your kits would be priced higher than the lesser-quality ones and the shoppers who are not experienced in needle felting at all will choose the cheaper ones and the orders would peter out anyway. Re Houston, have not been but know people who have been to the Quilt Show and it is HUGE. I am a quilter and am new to knitting. I took up knitting because so many of my quilting friends are knitters - therefore, it is a good fit for a quilt shop to branch out into yarn and also into the needle felting. Really enjoyed the yarn factory tour this episode too. Thank you!

So nice to see younger generation learning and growing. I feel like no to going to quilt show….only for cost and time away spent better….but I guess the comment that many would enjoy a ‘quicker craft’ could promise sales/potential stores. There are so many other shows I think. Thanks for answering my questions! Apparently llamas also cluck- so how about cluck cluck?

One question I have is what percentage of sales at the show were to LYS, to quilt shops, and to others? That number might be helpful. I think most of the people I know who needle felt, also do other types of textile arts like quilting or knitting, etc. It might be a great way to expand your market. At the same time, the time away is significant...but you have a great staff who are capable of doing the everyday work while you are out being the face of the organization.
