Nothing like a breakfast in sydney to start your day. First up is this american diner inspired cafe called Valentinas. I honestly think this is a hidden gem to try here in marrickville. The French Toast is incredibly tasty.
If you are after Filipino food and grocery, then you need to check out Filo Pride, they also offer some homemade Filipino Food.
Helmi loves dessert - there is this portugese egg tart that she has been boasting about - Sweet Belum in Petersham. Flaky outer layer, creamy and eggy - have to try this.
Lastly Fresh & Hot for Dry Wok Malatang or Hotpot - we always are a customed to soup based hotpot or malatang, but give this is a go and it will surely change the way you eat hotpot or malatang.

That fried steak sandwich looks crazzyyy surely must be full for the whole day after eating that hahahaha. Nice combination of ingredients though. The egg tart looks pretty authentic though, would have been real good fresh out of the oven. Could hear that crunch! The dry wok joint looks good too. Marrickville Okami: Japanese All You Can Eat Restaurant is pretty alright for a Budget Buffet. But I think their maybe still currently Take-Away & Delivery Only due to Lockdown Restrictions.

wolli creek is totally different now, lots of apartments 😆 but the creek is still pretty, always do walk/run around the creek

First time I've seen chicken fried steak in Sydney! Will have to make a trip, it's a childhood favourite of mine. Quick question, was the mashed potato under the gravy? Because it just looked like the southern style white country gravy that goes on chicken fried steak to me..?

As i remember there is no gravy :) - just mashed potato, there are pickle veggie in it ;) but yes gravy would have been great!!
