Thank you Fr Murray, ( on everything you said) I’m one of these people our Pope thinks is mentally deficient. I’m not clinging to Latin or lace, I’m clinging to reverence and focus on the sacrifice of Christ. I’m sick and tired of the “ stage setting” of the Novus Ordo in many parishes. The band is in the sanctuary, the choir, a retinue of “ extraordinary ministers”, readers, it’s horrible distraction and detraction from the central meaning of the Mass, the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross to give himself to me personally. As for priests who celebrate the TLM, I find the priest much more humble than a lot of the performers of the Novus Ordo with their running all over the church during their homily as if we were part of a talk show and the love it during the sign of peace. Please, have mercy! I could go on and on, but enough!

when i was across in Paris recently at some masses where many young were there, a great number came up to receive communion and devoutly knelt down to receive. it was veey beautiful. if we think of it, we ought lay prostrate at the eucharist. Bring back kneeling rails at Mass and it will solve these issues. I used to kneel to receive communion, but decided a reverent bow or genuflection was more appropriate unless there is a communion rail where I can joyfully kneel to receive my Lord in anonymity with everyone else.

It's 2025 and catholics in the west still "gossipping" about TLM, whether to receive communion on the hand or tounge, etc. Every language is good and beautiful for the mass, and you could receive communion on the hand or tongue. You should travel more, to know more on how other catholics live the life in other country. There are many Asian Catholics at our local TLM in Perth, Australia. It is true that spirituality is very strong in places like Vietnam and the Philippines, however you must understand that unfettered extreme modernism, like uncontrolled immigration, has had very adverse consequences in the West. 100's of millions of Catholic souls lost from Jesus in the last 60 years , where the Old Rite will save a large number if it was permitted.

I have given up on trying to understand the pope's unfortunate views on tradition and conservative views. It seems to point to a rigidity that stems from a lifelong bias & prejudice. I'd like them to also address disobedience. All three of them admit to attending the extraordinary mass rather than the novus ordo. Yet, at the initiation of this talk they speak of the fact the extraordinary mass is only to be celebrated with expressed permission from the Holy See. Equal address needs to be given to the "noisiness" of the movement. Those of us who are obedient to our Bishops and to the Pope are also not typically creating a rift with those who continue to disobey. The Latin Mass as people call it is not so much about the Latin in the Mass, it is about reforming the Liturgy from the Papal Chapel Mass format which was promulgated by Franciscan Missionaries throughout Europe and elsewhere. It was the form of Mass chosen and then spread due to the success of Franciscan Missionaries. Abuses by priests and others in an incorrect interpretation of Vatican II set off these Liturgical wars. The Liturgical reform instituted by Vatican II has as its main aim the encouragement of full, active and conscious participation by the laity. The problem with the Liturgy at the Mass has a lot more to do with the way Catholics lead there private and or public lives filled with secularism which is mystically transmitted throughout the body of Christ each time they receive communion. The Liturgy as with everything else in the Mass should serve the purpose of public worship of God and Reverence for Him and also for one another. HAIL HOLY QUEEN. MOTHER OF MERCY. The Latin Mass as people call it is not so much about the Latin in the Mass, it is about reforming the Liturgy from the Papal Chapel Mass format which was promulgated by Franciscan Missionaries throughout Europe and elsewhere. It was the form of Mass chosen and then spread due to the success of Franciscan Missionaries. Abuses by priests and others in an incorrect interpretation of Vatican II set off these Liturgical wars. The Liturgical reform instituted by Vatican II has as its main aim the encouragement of full, active and conscious participation by the laity. The problem with the Liturgy at the Mass has a lot more to do with the way Catholics lead there private and or public lives filled with secularism which is mystically transmitted throughout the body of Christ each time they receive communion. The Liturgy as with everything else in the Mass should serve the purpose of public worship of God and Reverence for Him and also for one another. HAIL HOLY QUEEN. MOTHER OF MERCY. PRAY FOR US MOTHER THAT WE WILL PLACE ALL OUR TRUST IN GOD AND STOP THE INFIGHTING WITH ONE ANOTHER. We want to worship God in Spirit and Truth, not only at Mass, but in our whole lives. Please stop with all the fighting and division over this on both sides. If you truly believe that you are being persecuted by restrictions on the Papal Chapel Mass format, ie the so called Latin Mass, then please consider taking the christian option recommended to us by Our Savior to pray for those who are persecuting you and do good to those who hate you. In doing this, not only will you gain great merit by receiving the Promises of the Messiah in regards to the Beatitudes, but your prayers will be more efficacious. I often lament the lack of Sacred silence at Mass, but have discovered that when I am praying as I ought to be during the week leading up to Sunday Mass, that the prayer can have a powerful effect on the Liturgy. The Protestantization of the Catholic Church particularly in the United States is an unfortunate cross we must bear for now until help comes as it will soon enough. We should be striving to become saints and Saints for those with that calling and nothing more, if that means sacrifices and deprivations we should accept the blessings and the curses with the same equanimity. Perhaps a part of the issue in the so called American Catholic Church has got more to do with our independent rebelliousness built into our national character. The whole culture war is over individuality versus community and neither communism or any other form of secular religion can solve the problem. We are both individuals and members of the Mystical Body of Christ and fighting over which way the pendulum is meant to swing only serves to bear a false witness to non-believers. WHEN NON-BELIEVERS AND THE YOUNG SEE SO MUCH SQUABBLING AND INFIGHTING IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THEN NO WONDER WHY THEY HAVE SUCH A LOW OPINION OF CHRISTIANITY. POPE FRANCIS IS A FAR FROM PERFECT MAN AND POPE, however, he needs our prayers now more than ever as he reaches that critical point in his life when his eternal destiny is chosen by him. If he has persecuted christians unjustly then the Lord will take care of all that and right the ship soon enough. HAIL MARY FULL OF GRACE THE LORD IS WITH YOU.
