A particle starts from the origin at t=0 sec with a velocity of 10 j^m/s and moves in the x−y plane with a constant acceleration of (8 i^+2 j^)ms −2 . What is the speed of the particle when its x -coordinate is 16m. Please solve this
@Kimtaegua07Ай бұрын
To solve this question you have initial velocity 10j and accln which is given in the question your Ux will be 0 and Uy will be 10 and you're gonna divide the accln into x and y part i.e. Ax will be 8 m/s and Ay will be 2m/s and x = 16 m first you have to find Vx which you can find from the 3rd equation of X and after that find t using first equation of X and then find y cordinate using second equation of y after finding this you can easily find Vy and after finding all of these to find the maximum speed you have to use the formula of resultant which √A²+B²+2ABcos∅ where cos∅ will be 0 leaving you with just under root a² plus b² and by putting the value of VX in the place of a² and value of Vy in the place of b² you will get the answer Hope you're able to understand the question I don't know the certain answer but I had solved a very similar question so I just matches the way

Because we know sy i.e. 490 m and not sx Therefore by using :( Everything should be along one direction as here it's in y direction) sy= uyt + 1/2 ayt² We get the time i.e 10 seconds
