Outsider looking in: Jen was ready for a full lifetime with Jesse, so she gave her ALL. Jesse needed to grow as a human, as a man. He's now left feeling guilt for not realizing that she was THE ONE earlier. Even if they got together now, Jen would be so closed off to protect her heart and soul, where Jess would give 110% right away. It's extremely hard to bounce back after already giving your soul to someone you invisioned your life with. Once they strip that away, it's even harder to accept fate.

You can tell Jesse feels so much pain and guilt for what he did to Jen. I don’t think there’s anything worse than to leave a women after 10 years together when she’s 33 years old. She planned her entire life around being with him and then he just left her. I don’t think he’ll ever really understand what that does to a women but he does have a HUGE amount of guilt for that. That’s why he just wants to see her happy, make sure she has a community around her, and even told her to freeze her eggs. I can tell Jen is such an amazing person and partner…it’s so sad that she had to learn how to be selfish after Jesse left her because she literally gave him the world. I don’t know why, but I really felt that look from Jesse at 10:03. I feel like there’s a little bit of a gut punch hearing an ex you still have feelings for saying the words “I’m single” out loud. It’s like a weird abstract realization because realistically you know you’re not together, but being around them and talking to them, you kind of fall back into it for a second. Then you hear that and there’s a sudden snap back to reality and you just kinda go “damn...”

Here’s my unpopular opinion: you can clearly see the love between you two. I know the past carries a lot of pain, but you both have forgiven each other or else you wouldn’t have been able to remain friends. Since you have a strong foundation already in place(that took years to build, grow, and learn from), I truly believe it would be worthwhile to give your relationship one more chance. With couple’s therapy, I think you would create a beautiful relationship & babies. It’s hard to find and have what you two have. It would be such a waste to throw that away.The love is there,the foundation is there, the remorse is there, the care is there,…..the want is there. Jesse himself said that he hasn’t found anyone remotely close to Jen. The eyes don’t lie, just look at them both. Start new, start fresh, let go of the mistakes you both made & move forward stronger, AND together. I hope they both see this message. God bless🙏🏼 and Jesse…we do NOT hate you. Crazy how long it's been since I've watched these two. I first watched them in 2010/2011.. I remember being so envious of their relationship and thought they were the perfect couple. How have they not figured out that everyone else out there will never come close to what they had? The fact that they are able to come together like this after having broken up says everything. I literally cant think of another couple who has broken up after ten years and can do something like this. They have something so special. I absolutely think the breakup was supposed to happen for them to grow into the best version of themselves, but I don't think it was meant to keep them apart forever.

Man coming from someone who has tried to stay connected with my ex. It’s almost impossible to truly move on and heal when they’re in your life. It makes it difficult to move on. I think a lot of people convince themselves they can stay friends but someone deep down always still has feelings and you can tell Jesse still does. It’s almost torturous to stay friends but it’s the only way to still have them in your life. It’s not a fun place to be in.

Seeing Jesse cry in the end just reminded me of myself. After a 5 year relationship and staying friends ever since then (2 years now) i still worry about my ex. I have cried multiple times because i just want him to get it right. I want him to be as happy as i am. I want him to feel so good that we can peacefully co-exist in this planet without always being in touch if that makes any sense. I will always love him somehow. I will always cry for him & never forget him. But i'll never be able to be in a relationship ever again. And i feel like it might be the same thing for Jesse & Jen. They love eachother, they want to hug eachother and be there but they can't get back together because they will never be able to forget everything they both went thru. And that is okay. Because they will always love echother in some sort of way. Man, i love you guys. Im just happy to see you together ❤️

Oh darn, seeing you guys together really gets me. For some reason I feel it in my soul. I see through your answers and I can only feel very deep emotions of love, some sadness and also fear of losing that special connection you have with each other if you make the wrong decision. I only wish the best for the two of you. Our lives are so short we should enjoy our days doing what makes us feel the happiest and the most complete. Jesse is in pain....the emotions the love...god my heart. Jen...is a strong healed woman. She grieved and is healed with no regrets she has made her peace. Jesse is going through it. Its what I've seen countless times...women go through the grieving stages and healing stages early on whereas men...its much later many years later...damn.
