In this video we crack on with the next project to get "The Wurks" treatment. This time round we have a Royal Enfield 350 Bullet that 20 years ago completed the Enduro India. It has been stood for a number of years and in need of quite a bit of attention.
In this video we pretty much tear the whole bike down, hope someone remembers where all the bits go???

I would ignore people who think they have the right to tell someone what they can fit to their vehicle on the grounds of not being "correct" factory original parts or whatever. Even if the vehicle is ancient and the last one in existence, the owner still has the choice of what upgrades may be appropriate for the machine to be useable and safe, particularly in modern conditions. It's their bike.

You are correct about “restoration”. If it is rare and highly collectible you restore it and park it in a museum. In the US we call a bike or car a “resto-mod” if you keep the essence of it but upgrade other parts to modern, better quality stuff. You keep it as functional as possible so it gets ridden. A vehicle needs to be on the road or it isn’t a vehicle anymore. You are doing it right!

Thanks to Joe and Emily and good to see the Royal Enfield strip down and rebuild with the upgrades. I think it would also be nice to see some footage on the MGB repairs as well if you can. 🙂

The bike is freedom and nobody should judge individual choice, a bike represents the personality of its guardian in my ever so humble opinion! Yes it would be good to see some on the MGB but I do enjoy the bike videos, well done folks.

Great start, I have no problems uprading bikes with modern parts if it improves them and makes them more reliable to ride. Personally I'm not about keeping it pure unless it's going to fetch a silly price and then I wouldn't have afforded it in the first place.

My brother has one of the 1100 made original 2012 'Steve McQueen Limited Edition' Bonneville's. He isn't touching that and he'll keep the original parts if he needs to replace any. I have a 2020 Royal Enfield Classic 500 in Battle Green. They made loads of these, so I'm quite happy to make positive changes to the bike, albeit mainly mechanical improvements. If it were one of the 200 or so Battle Green dispatch bike versions though (with the camouflaged tank etc.), I'd be leaving that well alone I think but I'd consider it a bit of a curse. I'd rather have something I can use. The MGB will be great to see more of. The B series engine is unbreakable but the Buick V8 is probably one of the best car engines ever made I think. Hydraulic tappets too, just like the RE Classic 500's 🙂

Oh yes, please at least a little bit on the MG. I'm loving the motorcycle content with the Royal Enfield and looking forward to some vintage Triumph/BSA/ other Brit bikes, but that old MG just looks righteous.

Reminds me of my MGB Midget of 1964 (Red with vinyl roof). Can you believe it I still remember the plate EPG 802B. Bought it in '73 for 220 quid, sold in '74 before migrating to Oz, could only get 60 pound for it. Probably worth a mint now. I now have a '21 500 Tribute Bullet but am so tempted to also get the '24 350 Bullet standard chrome/black. Am I nuts? Turn 70 next year hence all these old fogie bikes. Love your vids and especially Emily whata cutie, love a gal who can hold a spanner (rarity these days) ONYA Girl!

A company in Canada brings in mint condition Bullet 350 from the early 2000 and wants about 4600 pounds or close to 8000 canadian. I like them with the kick start and design but thats more than a brand new 350

Nice one. Emily is a top interviewer. I had an MGB, there was a big hole in the floor and when it rained I had to turn my pant legs up to stop the capillary action drawing water from the floor up my trouser leg. Happy days. Cheers

Just a quick comment on the fasteners you mentioned. British bikes were notorious for using different thead forms on a single machine. It was not uncommon to find UNC, UNF and Whitworth on the same bike. (UNC = Unifide course thread. UNF is unifide fine etc. We are so lucky today to have jyst metric to cope with. Great video again both of you. ❤

Wahey, it's another Emily & Joe Show and it's a Royal Enfield, possibly my favourite motorcycle manufacture. I can't wait to see what you come up with for this one, especially the changes to make it usable. For me a bike is like Trigger's broom, you change it to make it usable and better.

If the bike still has the stock RE cams fitted, don’t forget the inlet cam timing mod for a noticeable performance gain.

Great video - and please do some videos on the MG! Used to have a rotten Midget when I lived in Austria, that someone before upgraded with a B engine! Was quite a fun car, but it was over my budget and knowledge to repair it at this time, so I sold it to a friend who still owns it…

This is the thing I like about my old girl, they made a lot they aint rare and I can do whatever I want with it and wont be destroying history I can STILL buy a whole front brake assemblely for 100 dollars us I just bought brake shoes fron and rear for pennies I do however want to solve 2 issues with the bullest ,,High valve guide wear ( I really want to make the engine quieter) and those front brakes Im pretty sure I know the problem

Ive had 2 350 bullets the standard carb is rubbish replaced the first bullet one with a concetric and the second with a monobloc indian cables are rubbish on these bikes as well hitchcocks sell english made ones for this bike the outer gearbox cover flexs causing the clutch to drag hitchcocks sell s stenghener the fits in place of the neutral finder stop hope this is of help basicly good bikes with a few mods hitchcocks are great parts suppliers hope this is of help to you
