The sword (it's more of a thorn and comes in two varieties) is a peculiarity of Fontaine Visions. The Hydro Archon has chosen to allow "splitting the atom" within her element, which ties into both Fontaine's energy production and the local water being automatically breathable by any Vision-bearer (plus the Travelers with some adjustment, plus Paimon because it's a natural part of her spacetime kit). Fontaine characters excepting Furina have a natural affinity for one of the "poles" of Hydro; this ties both into combat against Fontaine's mechanical enemies which are using the opposing pole for energy and into interacting with sources or concentrations of the opposing pole for exploration. (As with Sumeru where the developers were both kind enough to grant players a guaranteed Dendro archer and to add to the environment so Amber is less convenient yet functionally a Dendro archer for exploration purposes, the developers have both provided the free characters you need (Lynette and Aether/Lumine) and made exploration possible if less convenient without them. There is a reason we're expecting the special movement mechanics for Natlan imply we're getting a guaranteed 4-star.) Ayaka was there because her brother was there. They were doing two things at once and realistically both were important. I was mostly impressed by Itto's "Rock and Roll Festival" because while Itto didn't notice what was going on this added another layer to explaining events throughout the Inazuma story quest and made it clear how deep the writing there really was.

So many people consider this summer event to be the best one they’ve ever had. I agree with them as well.

24:27 theres… a LOT actually, like sara, beidou, Lynette and freminet(literal assassins), candace etc are clearly by far stronger than five stars like nilou or furina.
