Nice job Kim. Chicanic hates doing those saws, but that seemed to be a straight forward repair (no major calamity's...).😉👍

Every time I see a Husqvarna pulled apart I realise just how much better the build quality is with Stihl.
@CalamityKim1 Жыл бұрын
This isn’t bad quality. The stihl disk saws are quite unreliable apparently, hence buying this.

@@CalamityKim1 I've had a Stihl demolition saw for four years plus. Never misses a beat. Cuts through sandstone like a hot knife through butter. Easy to start, same engine as the 660 magnum. That's why I bought it because my 660 is bullet proof too. Never had much luck with Huskies myself. Let's hope yours pans out.

Great vid as always Kim , we are dealers for husky at DGM south Devon , don’t get many power saws for repair, so I guess ther pretty good , but parts are expensive that’s for sure 👍😉

As good as new! Better than new! Those pull cords are tricky for sure. They're either too long, too short...or they get hung up when you try to pull them. Or they won't wind up properly. Excellent work Kim! 👌

Well done on ex hire, nice n straight forward, I have learned some details from Chickanic US YT channel with chainsaws. Great projects, every now n then I do run premium fuel especially fuel been sitting along time. Boss fuel tank definitely has crap which I add fuel filter to my ag bike.

Interesting video Kim 👍 was all Dolmar saws we used in our hire fleet fitted with K&N filter system really made a big difference between to maintenance costs 👌

I’ve heard a lot of awful things about the stihl varient. Especially the new ones. Apparently they break really fast.
@casto-2 жыл бұрын
@@CalamityKim1 mine one of the ancient ones, I think you could put a bar on it Abbas make it a chainsaw 🤣🤦♂️. I’m not a fan of much of there newer stuff. I did try a 500i chainsaw the other day but my mate had modified the drive sprocket already🤣 but that was nice
@matthewhibbs96022 жыл бұрын
stihl chainsaw flywheels have built in keys as well. I think you're meant to stuff a bit of cord into the spark plug hole to stop the piston and then use a ratchet to undo as this is less likely to strip the key. Great videos keep em coming.
@brianbyington45613 ай бұрын
The recoil rope doesn't have a knot on the end wrap the cord around the metal part then tuck the end under the pull cord

Good video, I worked a lot on the Stihl saw versions of these years ago . The biggest issue we had was hirers using neat petrol in a two stroke engine.
