Hi, Doc! I have to admit I just discovered you watching Ola England's coffee with Ola. A few things I learned about you was your back story of how your parents supported you. Both my parents were very into music. I also, noticed your into 7 strings which is very cool. I like your attitude and glad to see you working on all these different bands, and projects. This is also, my first podcast that I have followed as well. I am inspired by your story. I struggle with finding any real success. I have struggled with balancing work, family, etc. I gave up playing briefly, but have started all over several times. I get inspired by listening to musicians stories of success, creative process, gear, anything music. Looking forward to learning more about your music career. It is very hard to find band members, to get along, get on the same page. I don't think the general public really understand how bands work. I find this very cool, and glad you guys kept cool and restrained going off about individuals.

Dude, I wish I would've known about these podcasts so long ago. Fucking awesome. No surprise here...i'm a struggling musician in his 30's from a weaker local metal scene...quit my first band 8 years....quit my second band 3 years....only because I was really the main writer and worker. I learned how to record and produce my own stuff...and am doing it all myself which has made me way more successfully then any of my other band mates were. I love those dudes...but ya gotta put the work in. They don't even play music anymore...I was gonna play music no matter what and could not stop writing if I wanted to. It's in my blood to do so. This is an awesome podcast Doc!

Musical differences & personality conflicts is what John & Dez relationship's broke down to also John Miller leaving the band in 2008 cause he was battling addiction had a part to play cause they had been friends since they were kids with Jeff Kendrick..

it's funny how john doesn't wanna make it personal with dez, yet dez threw him under the bus with the lyrics on the following album after boecklin

Allegedly according to Boecklin, he ran into Dez at a Superjoint show in Hollywood and Dez was all nice to his face but started talking shit the MINUTE he left.

@@titsonaboar5654 well pretty much the whole "trust no one" album, aside from the love song lol. It just seems kinda fishy that right after Jeff and John left we got an album called trust no one that's about feeling betrayed by people close to you. Regardless of what Dez says about that album, I love a lot of things about him, but he's delusional.

@@savannahp6359 I wonder how Dez feels now that Boecklin basically created what was, if not still to some extent, the biggest hard rock band on the planet. Dez being 10 times more famous might not be a thing much longer. Hopefully Vext can return to Wolves and they can stay on top.

@@systematic11 my guess, probably still sour and has something negative to say about their music. Boecklin is talented many levels beyond Dez, and for too many years didn't get his credit for how good devildriver WAS, and I doubt Dez will give him credit now as well.
