In my opinion, I personally think that the true Oasis fans know how much Noel and Paul suffered as kids with their dad beating them up, they took the brunt to protect Liam, he's alot younger than them and in alot of ways was protected from it all and I think that that's why Liam behaves the way he does and why Noel was never bothered/didn't react as much because he'd been through absolute hell with their Dad.

I met Noel and he was great, had a good chat about football (outside a football stadium) until some girl recognized him and he instantly changed and sped off into the VIP entrance. They broke up a week or two later. It was at Ewood Park, Blackburn v Man City, first match of the season, 2008(?). I think context is important in these situations. How their mindset is, and yours, at that particular time. I prefer Noel over Liam now, but was the other way around when I was a teenager in he 90’s. Met Bonehead, too. I certainly prefer those behavioural traits even though I wasn't military myself. I did experience formal discipline though and learned early to respect its importance in getting sh1t done in the real world. Good solid interview. Nearly got me to soften my hard dislike of the brothers. I think it was the footage of Noel tearing down the paparazzi photographer who dared to touch his car that turned me fully against them both. This man's story of the music industry is spot on, I worked for a security company back in the late 70's and into the early 80's and the bands were like god's to the punters, they would do absolutely anything to get into the venues, or into the dressing rooms, but as time rolled on I became bemused by the band promoters and the road managers who would round up keen fans to send up to the stage bars or green rooms, and these fans would be hoodwinked for the sake of sitting with an idol, glad I got out when I did. The thing about the bad boys and their image is the acceptance from the fans and the media that arrogance was expected, for me many did not do that stuff.

This was a brilliant watch. Great interview. Let the man tell his story and was gripped from start to finish.

That was absolutely brilliant; I couldn't stop listening and watching this incredibly cool individual, I felt like I was having a beer with him, and he was so descriptive I could visualise where he was and what he was saying. It was amazing.

Johnny Rotten has been dragged because he’s not a globalist pig. He’s a true punk in every sense of the word. Respect

And Johnny Rotten is like myself,of working class stock,as opposed to this middle class, working class hating Labour Party.. Be punk rock and vote for the anti-political elite. VOTE REFORM U.K. for freedom and liberty! Amen!!!

My thoughts on the recent interview with Iain, which I found to be both articulate and insightful. It was particularly interesting to hear his reflections on his time in service, especially during his tenure with B Company. Iain mentioned both tours in Northern Ireland (NI) during 1981 and 1982, providing a vivid account of those experiences. Additionally, I am reminded of Viv Cook, a quiet yet physically imposing figure whom everyone respected. It was clear that he was someone you simply did not mess with, and his presence alongside Iain adds another layer to our understanding of that period. This interview has been one of the best watches I’ve experienced so far. Iain's humility, truthfulness, and bright demeanor shone through, making it an enriching experience. I am genuinely pleased to see Iain's continued success; he truly deserves every bit of it. Also served 1 Para 1980/2004.

Fk ya! Duran Duran and Arcadia are two of my favorites. I missed the entire Oasis thing. I was at Ft Bragg in the early and mid 90’s. Starting to really enjoy them now.

It’s not wrong, but it’s clever, because it plays into our expectations of ‘exposing’ always being negative. But it is, of course, any new information from a different perspective you haven’t heard before, positive, negative and everything in between.

Only got into your podcasts over the last month or so Dodge. Absolutely loving them and as a die hard Oasis fan it was fantastic matching up Robo's stories with what I already knew. I can't wait to read his book as it's one of the few Oasis stories I haven't yet indulged in. Keep up the great content Dodge. 👍🏻💜
