@@TruthSeeker_7 Fair point, but if my daughter seriously repented and did a real 180, I can't disown her. Things won't be the same of course there will be boundaries. there are many examples of god punishing people but he didn't disown them. Theirs a difference between punishing someone and setting boundaries and outright rejecting someone entirely and disowning them. Swinging the argument as "setting boundaries" is wild. We don't have to like what we did or think what she did was ok and we have every right to be hurt obviously things won't be the same and punishment may be involved. But disowning your child is just the easy way out because deep down as parents we know we are at fault in some shape or form and disowning them is a way of coping and running away from responsibility. Although his family isn't god we are called to be like god as Christians even if we don't like it. If my daughter kept counting to sin then the punishment and boundaries would be set until she repents.

Disowning them no, there's such thing as love from a distance. Despite of what my children can't flat out Disown them. However, they need to face the consequences besides my sins probably done brought spiritual death to those around me. Heck just by sinning bringing death upon our own bodies but God still forgave us. Why can't I show the same love that God has given me when I was killing my own body and possibly harming those around me spiritually to my kids despite their mistakes? God still set boundaries remember where he said he don't listen to the prayers of the wicked? Remember when God say that he give people to their reprobate minds? Obviously I had to bump my head and God allow me to reap the benefits of my sins until I seek forgiveness from him and repent, change my ways. God welcome me back with open arms. The prodigal son parable is not the best thing to bring up as an example. 1th, the father never kicked or made distance with the son. 2nd, the son left and the father even GAVE him his part of inheritance. The point of the prodigal son parable is not about the father making distance with his son, it’s about the son being in his rebellion the father NEVER changed his ways with his son and even waited for him with open arms when he returned repented, he never made distance with his son, it was the other way around. NEVER distance yourself from ur children especially as a Christian, that’s when you should confort them more because at the end of the day Jesus did not come to save the righteous, he came to save the lost, hope this helped and Christ bless.

@godlyentertainmentlive91612 ай бұрын
So basically the father never distanced himself. The son did that. The son wanted his inheritance and wanted to live his life. He did. He was young, immature and made bad decisions and put himself in a situation where he needed help. So he goes back to the thing that was always there for him. His home. His father. As far as we know the father never viewed his son negatively, nor did the father chase his son away. The son seemingly does not hold any resentment for his father. Thus him returning is much easier because the son and his father were never on bad terms to begin with. Almost sounds like Nala.

A lot of the times when people say that their parents cut them off, I've found that it's the other way around. They want the parent to submit to and validate their behavior. When the parent says no, they pull away themselves. I have a hard time believing her parents would decline a call if her number came up on their phone, asking for help. What if they were about to die? That just doesn't make sense to me.
@KayinPhylosophy42502 ай бұрын
@@serendipitouscomet exactly my friend, it’s always the child that just wants to live they’re own way which leads them to distance themselves from their parents, if you as a parent excommunicate you son/daughter from your life not only will they feel like God has left them but now even their parents don’t want much if any anything with them which will cause them to be even worse. Idc if my son ended up a kingpin I would still love and try to bring him back to the flock and if he chooses to not further communicate with me then that’s his choice, at that point all you have to do is hope and pray.

Maybe not cut them off entirely, since of sometime tragic happen then I would show up for them and maybe that can leave a little seed of consideration in them that shows I still have a care for them. but in general, create a fair amount of distance and cutoff in the hope they can realize their ways and come back to their senses in a logical manner. Also, there are factors that definitely play out to that possible outcome, maybe the parents didn’t do a good job at raising their children, the parents were abusive and argue all the time, maybe no father was in the house, things like that. But it sure sucks in knowing you did all you can to raise your children and they still ended up with that choice of being an online prostitute, very sad and depressing sounding moment as a parent. There is much more to life than with any form of pornography related activities and it’s such a poison to your mind. First and foremost I think Don made an important distinction between disowning and setting boundaries. You should absolutely set boundaries if someone is leading an extreme and sinful life unabashedly. However. It’s still important to position yourself as a representative of Christ in someone’s life, especially your own children. If you pull too far away, often times all you’re doing is leaving room for the enemy to sneak in. Of course if said person is damaging to the rest of your family, that’s different, but you don’t want someone that’s unsaved to feel abandoned by the very people that are supposed to help them see the light. I have become very wary of content creators in general that claim the faith because you can absolutely get a grasp of someone’s heart posture by their character, presentation, and appearances on other people’s media.

The Father did not cut the son off, or anything of that nature. He did not "Disown" his son, nor did he punish his son. The son punished himself by evading his father and falling into his own wickedness. On the other hand, the Father made is easy, and even welcoming for his son to come back, and with open arms show that the love was still there and never vanished. Although I disagree with Don a little bit, he is good in my book. It is Andrew who I am worried about. He does so in a condescending manner, while cursing and chain smoking. Although we're not perfect, this type of hypocritical display by Elder Christians when correcting Baby Christians is exactly what draws people away from the faith. Father's should be strict on their children but lovingly. we shouldn't compromise on our religion for our children as we will all stand before God alone.

You’re not going to be able to have a close relationship with a child that refuses to live the life that You live as the parent.. Amos 3:3 says how can two walk together except they be agreed. However, creating boundaries is completely healthy and sometimes is what can transform a relationship. With that being said, Ima talk to my child. But Ima say what Ima say abt what they’re doing and it’s up to them to continue communication if they want. And they probably won’t bc Im not going affirm what they’re doing.

Dear Andrew, The Fruits of the Spirit are: 1. Love - Unconditional care and compassion for others. 2. Joy - A deep and abiding sense of happiness and contentment in God’s presence. 3. Peace - A sense of inner calm and harmony, even in difficult circumstances. 4. Patience - The ability to endure challenges and delays with grace. 5. Kindness - Showing genuine care and concern for others. 6. Goodness - Choosing to do what is right and virtuous. 7. Faithfulness - Being loyal, dependable, and trustworthy in relationships and commitments. 8. Gentleness - Exercising self-control and treating others with humility and respect. 9. Self-control - The ability to control one’s desires and impulses in alignment with God’s will. These attributes are seen as evidence of a life transformed by the Holy Spirit and are central to Christian ethics and character development. I encourage you to realign yourself with Jesus and his teachings. God bless brother.

A repentant sinner can be accepted. 2 Corinthians 2 King James Version 4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. 5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all. 6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many. 7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. 8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.

I share some of your views on this topic Don, but I wouldn't say I agree. Especially not to the way you phrased this video in the title and thumbnail, and the position you took in feeling like you needed to refute what this woman spoke. If my daughter or son was to go down a sinful path such as this, I would have to cut them out of my life, but I wouldn't disown them. I can't interact with them normally pretending that they're not doing the things they're doing, but I would always make sure they understood, that they could come back to me no matter how far they've gone. How I would go about that is something I have ample time to think about and plan for/against, but I pray to God I will never have to deal with it.

The goal is growth. God's grace is endless. Use His grace with patience and wisdom to learn from your mistakes. If you struggle, pray, read the Bible, and connect with trusted believers to share your challenges. We are human and complicated and won’t always get it right. That’s why we need grace. Sometimes, we may do things without realizing they are wrong, so we need correction and grace. However, if you misuse His grace and continue in sin without caring, did you ever truly trust in God? I don't know, but I do know that you've got to stay connected to Christ, and when he prompts something, we must be obedient. It’s something we work on for our whole lives on this earth

My issue with your take is that you become the arbiter of what is "serious" enough sin. I think we must be consistent. In God's eyes, all sinners outside of Christ, prostitute, porn addict, fornicators, drunkards, liars etc, are damned. And we are just as wicked as they. If we will abandon an only fans daughter, then we abandon a fornicating son, a proud daughter etc.

Well it makes sense for a certain threshold to exist that would justify not speaking to a child any longer. Consequences can be tailored to the degree of the wrongdoing. Same reason murderers get harsher punishments than someone stealing a snickers bar, some things require greater consequences.

I don't think it's for the purpose of converting people like Nala. And I think it's perfectly valid to put those ideas front and center, although it might be crude and from an imperfect vessel. The bible describes churches, not a "universal church". Every congregation had to stand on it's own, or fall, it's candle taken away. There is a Christian "nation", which is without borders, of every person that believes on Christ. 1 Peter 2:9-10 King James Version 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

A lot of so-called "born again Christians" ignore or reject the Word of God, who is Jesus. (See John 1, KJV) These are antichristians, who worship "another Christ", meaning NOT the Word of God. (KJV only if you're English speaking.) Part of the problem is "dispensationalism", which incorrectly divides the "New" from the "Old" testaments. If you believe on Christ, you believe his Word, even if you know you're falling short, you accept what he teaches. 2 Timothy 2:15 King James Version 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
@multi-milliondollarmike51272 ай бұрын
Dispensationalists interpret the Bible the way they do to best harmonize the conflicting doctrines and contradictions. If it was actually written coherently under the influence of an all knowing god, there would or should be only one correct interpretation of the text.
@beastmode79022 ай бұрын
I think your a good content creator but I think I completely disagree with most of your video here. You keep calling her an OF model when you could say “former OF model”, and like she says in this video, her parents still contacting her is what helped her repent. I think the least you could do is still keep contact, even if it takes brutal honesty. Life is too short and you also could maybe realize that they could keep falling into sin more and more if you aren’t there for them. Nobody ever comes back to Christ on their own, something happens to them bringing them back.
@Danno58942 ай бұрын
1 you’re just being pedantic. 2 she said her former pastor father supported her on OF and received money from her. Also in other conversations she’s stated that meeting her now husband on a tiktok live is what drew her to want to be Christian again and give up the prostitution. No one really knows why she’s made decisions she’s made. At the end of the day your comment mostly agrees with the guy Don who made this video. Lol
@cleightthejw22022 ай бұрын
@YDR Honestly, I pretty much am in complete alignment with your comments on all of it from 'judging' those insdie the body of Christ (those you actually know directly or are truly part of the same 'house of faith' as you/me) versus those not in that same body or aren't believers at all. So they are basically strangers and I have no real judgement against them other than simply knowing that 'In God's eyes' they are doing wrong. But that is for God to handle not me/us. And as for my child/ren- It all depends and my 'cutting them off' would be based on how deep they are into whatever they are doing and how intention it is especially when the child KNOWS it is violation of what I hold to according to God AND how we/I would handle others in that same situation that aren't my child. Am I to give special favor to my child/ren committing wicked sins over those doing what is good in the eyes of God? no sir. That is showing favortism for the person over the moral/spirit And that in itself is wrong. And like you said I wouldn't be giving my child 'aid' in their life if they were in some sort fo wrong even if not the worst kinds of wrong. But not going to help fund their life in wrong course. But I'd still talk with him if even on certain topics and if only for a short time. And let the child know I love them and want them to change the course they are on. peace to you and your family, @YDR
