@ as someone who has only entered the RDR2 scene just 6 months ago, i both love and hate your comment. I love it because i have even more certainty that RDR2 will hold me over until next fall ;) But i hate your comment because idk if I’ll be able to experience everything the masterpiece has to offer 😭😭😭 I avoided/ wasn’t on my radar, all content RDR2 related until 6 months ago. My 1st playthrough, I sped through it because I couldn’t get enough of the story! About chapter 3 I found a nice balance of exploration, hunting, fishing & story progression but I still blasted through the story. I’m currently on my 2nd playthrough, chapter 3, and I’ve already experience so much more than my 1st whole playthrough! In a way, it’s like a new game. I’m an absolute sucker for fine details and when I learned thar Rockstar incorporates successful assets & mechanics from game-to-game, I had to see what to expect… 178 huntable animals, 30 types of fishable fish, 43 harvestable plants & 19 breeds of horse was NOT to be expected.. when I 1st opened compendium, my jaw literally dropped and I stayed a jaw-dropped mouth-breather for about 10 minutes trying to comprehend just how intricate this masterpiece is! I know that’s a lot to read but I appreciate you taking the time to hear my experience! I’m nothing short of amazed & im even more excited for GTA VI after playing RDR2 🤌🏼

Rockstar has never been afraid to offend or ignore criticism. Never knew it would turn into offending and ignoring the fans. Abandoned RD2 one of the most profitable games in history, ignored GTA online problems and chose to only focus on problems that lead to people buying less shark cards. Ruining the opportunity to create a great collection of the original GTAs. Canceled Bully 2, canceled GTAV DLC, quit communicating about anything other than the latest minor additions to GTA, adding a subscription to put a bunch of vehicles and features behind a pay wall on a game that’s already a decade old which means it’s designed to apply pressure to all new fans to spend a lot of money to catch up quicker. Going from supporting GTA mods to actively trying to stop it and then switching back to trying to buy it out and add it as a feature in the future. Not dropping a single clip or screenshot or tweet in 11months and most likely over a year by the end of it. Some days im excited but some days all this information leaves me feeling bitter and skeptical.

I find the discussion about "hidden" content in RDR2 if you don't do things as instructed interesting, because I always got the sense that the game doesn't let you experiment too much. 2 times out of 3 when you try to be clever with your approach what happens is a mission failure and a message that you need to follow the intended path. This discouraged experimentation so people were likely to just follow the intended path always and the chances of seeing that extra content were even smaller.

What a load of bullshit about how rockstar games just handle your free thinking decisions to complete missions the way you want to. I've never known a more restrictive game design built into their missions. Mission failed if you don't park your car where rockstar tells you to, mission failed if you get off your horse too early, mission failed because you wore the wrong trousers, mission failed because you talked to the person rockstar didn't want you to talk to. Rockstar spends years creating these big open beautiful dynamic open worlds for you to explore out of the missions, and then they put the shackles on you in their mission design.

rockstar make very detailed games and mostly good writing and lore but their games are clunky as fuck especially when you're roleplaying an action hero the character you control moves like an old man with cinder blocks around his ankles, controls feel a whole second delayed to what is happening on the screen, when you shoot enemies they ragdoll behind cover and have to wait a whole 10 seconds for them to get back up only to shoot them again and have them fall behind cover and wait again, the way they make their games it is literally designed to waste your time and they're very blunt and pretentious about it in the sense of hey we put alot of effort into these animations so we're going to make you watch and wait through every single animation we coded because we love ourselves so much and you peasant players should get on your knees and kiss our feet

After the spit in the form of remasters, I personally do not take seriously every word of the next pseudo-insider, because it is all dust in the eyes, and nothing more... @rocketknoxler6516Ай бұрын
The definitive edition wasn’t even handled by rockstar games themselves, it was done by Grove Street Games, a mobile game company. The truth of the matter is, when it comes to actually making games, rockstar is the best in the business. You can cry all you want about their greedy business practices and crunch culture and whatever else, but at the end of the day, no other game developer makes games like rockstar. Red dead redemption 2 is eight years old and still easily beats any AAA game that has come out since. The quality of their games is unmatched and that’s why they’re best in the industry.

Many sensible people believe that it is the fault of both Rockstar and the Take Two due to the negligence of the choice of who will make these remasters, it was a slap in the face to all fans of the good old and beloved games... And these fairy tales like they are not guilty and so on - these are excuses for kindergarten... Now they are trying to come out white and fluffy against the background of this announcement of GTA6, and they think that everyone will forget this slap - they are wrong, and who is crying and who is sucking for the visuals with rumors about the next game progress, to each his own... GTFO of here with your politics, half of us arent even yanks so we don't care about your scuzzhole of a country.

Unless they literally ban the game, no, obviously not.

Seems like a fair question, i don’t know why all the other brainless replies are saying otherwise since Dan Houser did say they would not release a gta game under Trump’s presidency.

@@aaxel_dz Because half of us arent even American and don't care about America and their stupid antics. Why can't we just go one day without American politics being bought up on the internet. It's a podcast about a video game what does that have to do with anything political? And no Dan Houser didn't say they wouldn't release GTA, he said he's thankful they're not releasing GTA 6 while Trump was in power so stop twisting words.

I'd still argue that there are no good VR games. I'm not going to buy a VR headset to play some crappy Ass creed game or Half life. There's a reason R* don't bother with VR, cus it's just like mobile gaming, it's for filthy casuals.

How can the dude talk about freedoms of rockstars open games yet in red dead 2 if you don’t do something exactly the way rockstar want you too do it then mission failed 👎🏼

Well since he was the lead game designer at Rockstar and worked on GTA 6, it is a good sign that GTA 6 will offer more freedom in missions compared to RDR2

Because you see freedom as something diffrent than he Sees it
