Siren met its demise right at 6:00 (CST)
Here's a little story on how this siren met such a catastrophic failure.
Back when it was in service the rotor sucked in a piece of loose fiberglass, which had got caught in the rotor and stalled the motor, which then the siren was taken put of service.
For four hours the SWS guys SirenCon staff were working on the siren and diagnosing any problems with it, unfortunately they may or may not have missed the microfractures in the rotor when it sucked in fiberglass. so as it ran the centrifugal force made the cracks worse, then met it's time and 5 large cracks formed and the motor stalled.
You'd think 50HP would tear through the fiberglass it sucked it, but there's more forces going on here other than air drag.
SirenCon was a blast! And I hope I get to see all my close friends again next year!

​@@emrilbennett8704Because people don't want their shots blocked. When I went to SirenCon last year, a kid blocked my shot during attack mode on a Screamer.

@@emrilbennett8704 because a blown up siren is a safety hazard. They don't want people to get hurt as they would have to deal with it as the event organisers.

@@YourAverageMODude145 Because this siren should have been refurbished and put back in service elsewhere, not abused further than it already was.

@@BusMaster99 That would have been terrible to do. Back when it was in service in Schaumburg it sucked in fiberglass, and seized it. Causing early microfractures, they spent 4 plus hours just to get the fiberglass out and unseize it. This thing is a hazzard and we should all be thankful that dang rotor didn't come flying at us
