The jury saw that he didn’t take the stand, but the fifth amendment means that trumps decision not to testify cannot be used to convict. The jury will need to convict based on the witnesses that the prosecution brought, and Costello who the defense brought, not the absence of trumps testimony. I too hope he is convicted, but the jury can’t convict him based on the fact that he didn’t testify
