Excuse me. Where you get a sutable piece of mirror to cut a new one? What about acrillic mirrors, are they good for this? Or mirror adhesive tapes to be glued on the old mirror?

If I'm correct, I purchased glass one at Amazon. I assume plastic glass is not so good, because its surface is distorted. The glue is often pasted on the back side of old mirror.

How did you replace the metal roller clip that holds the curtain with the strap together? Or is it the completely new one? Is there any chance for you to make some kind of tutorial on making a new curtain for exakta? I need to replace them for my camera but so far I am not sure how to approach it.

Thank you for a message. I re-used old one. Open the clip with a knife carefully, and remove the old fabric completely. To fix the new curtain and ribbon, it is better to use the instant adhesive.

Clip...Do you mean the ones for exposure slit? Roller...Do you mean the curtain drum?

@@blackcatcameralabo7871 apologies for the confusion. Yes, I meant the metal clip for the exposure slit where ribbon connects to the curtain. By roller I only meant the way the metal clip is "rolled".

Thank you for a reply. Anyway, for such a clip type, it is better to use the instant adhesive (Cyanoacrylate). Good luck to you!

Nice. I have a Kine Exacta (ver. 1.2.3.) and the shutter curtain gets stuck in the middle. Then need a litle help to close. I have the machine already disassembled. What is your opinion. Should I replace the curtain? Or the problem is other?

You mention 2nd curtain, correct? The possible causes are old(not smooth) curtain, ribbon, or weak shutter tension. In addition, it may be better for you to check the shape of curtain bar. If it is distorted, 2nd curtain may be hooked at certain point.

@@33mattuska86 Thank you for your watching and message. I'm sorry but, I'm just an amateur, so I don't repair the camera which is not mine and don't sell the camera which I repaired. I don't know where you live but, Exakta is so popular camera series and there are a lot of units generally, and as my video shows, its inner mechanism is not so complicated, so I suppose you can find some professional repair shop in your neighbor. Sorry about I cannot meet your expectation.
