anything can show up but could there be hints of certain topics based off what has already shown up in past years and past papers from this year?

Hi Geoff and Team -- cheers for all the content, been proper useful for my exams. Just wondering if you had any good book recommendations on Austerity? You've said a few times that you aren't a fan, so I'm interested in learning some more about the economic theory behind it. Cheers.

Thanks! Not sure about any one particular book that is sufficiently up-to-date but this Guardian landing page has some interesting background and commentary www.theguardian.com/business/austerity

Sorry I have quite a lot of questions 1. For the 8 and 12 do you need to do both a micro and a macro point? 2. For the 25 do you need application from extracts in both micro and macro paragraphs? 3. do you have to evaluate your micro point with a micro evaluative point, or can you go a bit macro in the evaluation? And vice versa 4. How exactly do you write the conclusion? With both micro and macro points Thank you so much!

8 or 12 marker will either be micro or macro but not both 25 marker - yes - application needed in every paragraph including the final reasoned judgement evaluate micro with micro, macro with macro final judgement - consider which micro or macro effects / causes / policies are most important and why Go well!

Geoff - why does a lot of exports require imports ? Can’t work it out. Surely it all can get balanced by financial / capital accounts?
@tutor2u-official3 ай бұрын
Bangladesh exports textiles - but it imports cotton . Exports require imports!

Hi, sorry, just a question: If a 12 marker explicitly says you have to draw a cost and revenue diagram, do you need a second point as well? Or can you just draw the diagram, explain (with application) and evaluate it?
@tutor2u-official3 ай бұрын
Developed diagram usually takes the place of the 2nd KAA point - but you will still need two separate evaluation points - good luck!

what is at most marks can you get out of 25 if you do not do a final judgement? Is it really that important
@LeBronJames-mt3fd3 ай бұрын
Also do you need to know a specific case study or will the extract be available as a choice E.g kenya
@tutor2u-official3 ай бұрын
You cannot get to level 4 for eval without a judgement
@tutor2u-official3 ай бұрын
You can use the extracts and perhaps countries / markets of your choice

Are there any significant differences between the key words within the 25 mark questions e.g "Influences, Effects or Policies/Strategies"? Also Is there a difference between strategies and policies or do they mostly mean the same thing? Thanks
@tutor2u-official3 ай бұрын
Causes / Effects / Policies are very different! But policies and strategies are pretty much the same thing! You might divide into micro/macro and then short and long run policies for example. Most issues require a combination of policies.

Also if you answer a question with a valid reason but it happens to not be on the mark scheme will it be given marks?
@tutor2u-official3 ай бұрын
For sure Kate!, examiners will consult with their team leaders for valid analysis and evaluation that lies beyond the mark scheme - it will be given credit., No mark scheme can ever hope to cover all possible responses.
