Hi Ellie, thanks so much for your assistance. Can you do notes or even a short summary on what to expect on exams, what do we need to study.... I know we have to study everything but the whole book makes no sense

I don’t know why on earth they make the whole book so thick and daunting. It’s terrible! My best advice would be to start with figuring out what an asset, equity (income/expense) and liability is. Just to make all of it sound less foreign. -it helps to make 3 columns on a page and write all the examples of each one underneath it... Somewhere in your notes, tut letters or book there will be a “what to expect page”. It’s a one pager that gives an estimate of how many points each topic will count in the exam, or how much time must be allocated to each topic. That page is crucial! Try to find it !! :-)) From there, choose the item that counts the most, and memorize it’s framework out of your head. (Eg statement of profit and loss OR bank recon etc etc). Once you know what the framework looks like - do an example where you have a memo. Then check out videos etc to try and figure out the logic behind it. Finally you must do the same example but without cheating/looking anywhere - and when you are completely finished mark your own work. Good luck! My signal is terrible during covid lockdown. I hope you can access all the videos I’ve posted.

Thank you ellie. I just wondered how do you apply this method. Or with what type of questions. I cant always make the classes in pta. Or even in middleburg. I work full time so its a pain to try and make the classes and even having to pay for it if you dont make alot or if you save for next year's studies

I think the best prep is to work through the tut letter that has questions and answers (but you have to try the Q without looking at the A). Try one, and let me know how it goes - if that doesn’t work I could do a vid on whatever question you chose... maybe that will help?

Im going through old exam papers aswell to see more or less how they will ask questions(like mcq and long questions ect) to give myself a scope. On thing i struggled with last semester were the journal entries and general ledgers.(still watching your video daily to help me exercise) i would like if you could do more videos of all types of accounts/ledgers/journals ect.videos already help more than trying to figure out what to do on my own

Hi there. I think that’s a great idea. When I started out I had no idea it would be so popular! So I didn’t put much thought into the structure etc. I’ll rename them eventually, but in the mean time you could follow the playlist.
