Hey! Can you please explain me how at 13:57 when alcohol acts as Electrophile, how does C-O bond breaks?

@@param.18 Alcohol as an electrophile-For alcohol to act as an electrophile it needs to have positive charge(as electrophiles are electron loving species), so that is why we are adding a proton(H+) to the alcohol, thereby giving us a protonated alcohol. Now this protonated alcohol acts as an electrophile because it has a positive charge. (Till now was the explanation for the first reaction shown by Ma’am). Now looking at the second reaction , we can see that oxygen has a positive charge and so it pulls the electrons from the carbon thereby breaking the carbon oxygen bond.Here carbon has given away its electrons to oxygen so it has a positive charge and so bromine attacks the carbon, thereby forming the compound (product).Hope you understood!Thank you.
