Examined for Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP) in my Third Trimester | Dangerous Pregnancy Symptom

I'm officially in my 32 week of pregnancy and I've received a new symptom: extremely itchy skin!
I was tested for cholestasis of pregnancy - which turns out I'm actually fine - but I wanted to raise awareness for this condition as it can be very serious during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Cholestasis of pregnancy is a liver problem. It slows or stops the normal flow of bile from the gallbladder. This causes itching and yellowing of your skin, eyes, and mucous membranes (jaundice). Cholestasis sometimes starts in early pregnancy. But it is more common in the second and third trimesters. It most often goes away within a few days after delivery. The high levels of bile may cause serious problems for your developing baby - including premature birth, low birth weight or stillbirth.

Healthcare providers don't know what causes cholestasis of pregnancy. They do know that this happens:

Wow during my pregnancy I went through itchy all over my body especially my upper & lower back area,thighs, sides &’sometimes my palms it was so bad that I had scares . My doctor referred me to the lab to get tested and everything came back negative I was going through so much and nothing could be done sigh

Thank you, I have it I am 32 weeks pregnant and it's the first time I had it. They want to induce me at 37 weeks. I'm taken medicine 💊 to break down the bile. I'm hoping it works. You are lucky you don't have it. Please, prey for me and this baby. 🙏 Thanks for spreading awareness.

Sigh our body goes through things like you know you’re not making it up in your head yet when I take a test everything comes negative but I have bumps, scars ( because I itched the crap out of my skin in my last trimester but yet my doctor couldn’t do anything about but refer me to Benadryl🙄. But i really hope everything works out for you I gave birth 38 weeks because my water broke and I didn’t know 😫😫😫 I had a regular check up and I did a last sonogram and they realized the fluid was low. I don’t want you to be scared and you put the baby at risk but if you can ask if your baby is fine and he/she is not at risk them they can leave your baby inside and let that princess or prince growz

The bloodwork is always behind. That it didn’t show doesn’t you don’t have it. If the itching staid they should have check your blood again after 1-2 weeks…

I am 35 weeks and omg the itchiness is so bad all over the body! I don’t have my gallbladder and I was tested last week and blood work was negative. My OB prescribed me a medication urdosol something like that. She said that should help with the itchiness and I am scared because of the stillbirth. I got tested again yesterday and waiting on results. I can’t with this itchiness! It so bad especially during the night and now the day. I had to get me a 🪮 to scratched myself because it’s so bad 😭 might get induced on 2 weeks
