Hello, Eric - I have been watching and listening to your videos for several months now. I find them very helpful. Recently, and for 3 years, I studied with 2 JW couples. I gained an appreciation of the Bible. Near the 3 year mark, I started to have certain doubts about continuing, and was particularly bothered by their attitude of being In The Truth. Brought up a Catholic, even at 12 years old I could not believe a person had to be Catholic to be saved. Also, the business in the early 60's that if a Catholic skipped Mass one Sunday and died before confessing, he/she would go to hell. I was seeing some of the same odd 'beliefs' with the JW's. When I mentioned the book 'The Gentile Times Reconsidered' to a young JW, she replied 'that's apostasy'. I couldn't get over this. I find you present material in a rational, organized way that I can understand and I greatly appreciate that.

My mother was a jw before she died and she pioneered for 60 years but she always told my dad that we were already in the great tribulation mentioned in revelation. She said Jesus is looking for believers and Armageddon is Gods war. He wouldn’t let any harm come to us as he’s a loving God.

Thank you Eric! I have really come to appreciate the Bible and to read it for what IT says. I really feel in my opinion the problem starts when read we "bible based publications" Since 1950 the watchtower and awake magaizines have printed over 70,000 pages of their ideas of what scripture means. The Bible itself some 1500 pages. Anyone see the problem? Eric I enjoy how you stick with Scripture. I do not believe any man will have a complete accurate interpretation of Scripture. That being said I don't believe we have to. Just keep reading and believing you have eternal life in the Fathers provision of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Here's the simple math 1950 watchtower 16x2= 32x12=384 1 in951 to 2007 32x2=64×12=768x56=46,592 Awake 1970-2005 64×12= 768×35=26,880 384+46,592+26,880= 73,856. That was only up to 2007 watchtower 2005 awake. So 73,000 is conservative. Hope this helps. Tracy

Jesus said "in the world you will have tribulation, however, I have overcome the WORLD" (worldly ways and dictates to sin) so obviously the righteousness of/in Christ that was perfected in flesh was through tribulation. That same perfected life in Christ, working in those born from above, grows through tribulation/s also, as they say in the gym, no pain, no gain ..this is called SANTIFICATION. so this life of tribulation/s is not the great tribulation IMHO in Matthew 24:21, and revelation 7:14 My current understanding of the GT in Matthew 24:21 and Rev 7:14 is that the outcome, consequences of the GT aka Jehovah's final judgement on his covenant people through angles and Moses, resulted in the gospel being preached to the Gentile world. In other words, The great crowd resulted from the GT on Israel. Of course tribulations would come their/our way in the SANTIFICATION process. Footnote- regardless of the *DATE* OF THE written information in the letters to the 7 churches in Asia Minor, some events are mentioned that happened in the past. E.G. Revelation 12 show the birth of the incarnate Word of Life in line of David, and the attempts to kill the baby seed and later in the chapter the rest of the women's seed. The women is defined by Paul in Galatians as the *covenant* for spiritual birth in Sonship. Galatians 4:24-31, Genesis 1:26, 3:15, Romans 16:20 The book of Revelation is not linear. It is considered as 7 encapacitating repeating views of the same message, like different views of a movie from different angles! Shalom Shalom in Christ :)

Hi my friend I love your videos. I must comment though on your view on revelation 5:10 concerning the word epi. Your right that epi can mean at times on or upon, however this time the NWT and certain other bibles do correctly translate it correct as over. Epi in the NT is always translated as over in the context of rulership or kingship, eg: revelation 5:10. There are also around 47 times epi is translated as over in the NT where it's in the context of rulership or kingship. Please take a look for yourself. Would be nice to get your opinion :)

Have a look at this link: biblehub.com/revelation/5-10.htm Consider the Parallel function and ask yourself why the vast majority of translations do not render this verse as "over the earth". Yes, epi can be rendered over, but if the context here is that of dominion, then over would work. That doesn't imply they wouldn't be present on the earth of course. However, that is how Witnesses use this text. They use it to support their belief that the 144,000 will rule from heaven. Since the majority of Greek scholars have chosen to render Revelation 5:10 with "on" or "upon", I take it to mean that they view this text to be speaking about location rather than dominion.

There are other scriptures in NT that can verify that. There are atleast 2 lexicons that can verify this. However I know it doesn't matter how it's translated in the end, we just need to get to the location :). Keep up the great videos friend

Just love the discussion on this topic. Matthew also says like the days of Noah, people were not under tribulation, they were eating and drinking until the tribulation of drowning. It didn’t start until after Noah was safe. Same with Lot. (Luke 17) Always fascinated with the chosen ones. Why were they picked? David was chosen as a boy. Saul was chosen. Paul was chosen. He seemed like he had the characteristics of Jesus. More of long commentary than the other disciples. Apparently those chosen have something Jesus can use in his new government. Also will have the ability to judge angels. (1 Cor 6: 2,3) New Jerusalem comes down to earth Rev21:1-3 and God’s tent is with mankind. All those chosen were chosen for a reason. Love to know how they are chosen. - Other countries kill Christians. The Bible was written while under intense persecution by governments. How do you adapt it to governments who accept Christianity? Snowflake Christians? Watch the tv, media and music and slowly accept the things they are selling. (Embrace immorality and other attitudes they are promoting) like jezebel in revelation. Also can’t understand snowflake GBs that are in their palaces with being idolized, puffed up. Maybe Jesus sees they might need some tribulation to toughen them up, if they don’t melt first.

A Christian doesn't seek to be persecuted nor do we live under constant persecution or tribulation as there is only so much a human can endure. Each one is tried but God always provides the escape so our trial is not more than we can bear. However, if you continue to stand up for truth, eventually, you will face persecution.

Eric, I would like to suggest a book for you to read by *Kenneth Gentry: **_Before Jerusalem Fell_* . You can get it free in pdf online but that has a few typos, the printed copy would be best. Tremendously scholarly work that will open your thinking to all the evidence that exists for the date of writing for Revelation. You honestly can't continue doing videos on a subject like this without examining this research. I beg you to read it please.

Hi Dawn, when I was a jw I worried all the time that Papa was mad at me. But I've learned in my study of scripture that all the bad stuff comes from satan. Papa allows us to be tested, but he does not cause the tests. Our life, especially when we continue to believe, puts us at opposition to satan and thereby we have to deal with him. But Papa is faithful and he does reward. Remember Jesus judged religious leaders and those who hurt children, but healed and loved the sinners. If we are faithful, we have the opportunity to help love and heal the sinners. Otherwise we will be the sinner needing the healing. Please please please don't think Papa is mad at you. He loves you very much!

I have always had a problem with the timeline for Matt. 24 but now I can see Jesus was simply answering questions asked by the disciples , some about their near future and some about the long term future when his Kingdom begins ruling so its a matter of determining if the verses were fulfilled when Jerusalem was destroyed or will be fulfilled in the future.For the last 15 years I have followed several reputable climate scientists and read reports from IPCC which is made up of more than 300 scientists from all around the earth, I have also watched several documentaries based on what we have done to earth’s climate. The IPCC reported in 2019 that global warming is now irreversible (by humans) because of ocean warming. There is no doubt we are headed for an ice free planet with temperatures too high to support habitat for humans. Scientists are expecting an ice free Arctic Ocean within the next five years followed by huge methane releases from subsea permafrost leading to more warming. What we are facing fits so well with Matt. 24:21-22 According to IPCC and other groups of scientists we are deep into a mass extinction of species due to climate change, pollution and destruction of habitat. If all humans were gone we would have more than 400 nuclear power plants melting down at once but if Matt. 24-22 were applied to our day then everyone would see that man cannot govern himself and Jehovah could demonstrate his great power by saving the earth and humanity. Do you think it is possible verse 22 could apply to our day ? Thanks, Ron

The scripture that you partially quoted from Rev chapter 11 is the result of the seventh trumpet being blown . When you start with trumpet 1 and read through trumpet 6 it is almost identical to the destruction of the earth humans, wildlife, sea creatures and the polluting of the oceans and air as described in scientific reports by IPCC and many other groups of scientists. According to the Rev book this was all fulfilled by WT convention talks starting in 1922 and ending in 1928 but I believe it is real and happening now.

You don't think it is reasonable for the 144,001 to rule from heaven and also "upon" the earth? When Jesus was teaching, what form did he take? Was it not a human form? When he died and was resurrected, what form did he take when he appeared again? Did he not appear in human form? Have angels taken human form to communicate messages in times past? Why is it so unreasonable to believe that the anointed can and will be able to take a human form as "princes in all the earth" during the millenium in order to teach righteousness? Even the angels that sinned took on a human form, but they were still spirit beings who returned to the heavenly realm. Do you expect us to communicate as an invisible voice on an individual and/or congregational basis? Or maybe a voice in a person's head? Just because the seat of the Kingdom is heavenly, it does not mean that it must be administered solely in that realm. Heavenly life is the _reward_ granted to us for our faithful endurance. No one knows the answers to these questions until those days arrive. You are playing with semantics to fit your narrative when you do not yet have, and cannot have, all the facts (Proverbs 18:13, John 16:12).

I wouldn't eat this one up folks. He has a lot of insight on the scriptures don't get me wrong, but this interpretation doesn't add up. Why? Because there are the 2 witnesses that preach for 1260 days during the future great tribulation (Revelation 11). This will be the time of judgment since the gospel will be preached in the whole earth during this time period. We are also given confirmation of this time period in the Bible as it is referred to as time, times and half a time (3.5 years/42months). -Also see Daniel 12. In conclusion, it will be a time like never before seen. Test all things folks!

There are an array of interpretations and conclusions about who the two witnesses are. Some believe it is the literal appearing of Elijah and Enoch, but what does scripture say about their identity and the purpose they hold? In my years of study I have understood this to be the two olive trees and the two lampstands (Zechariah 4:11-14, Revelation 11:3-12). These two heavenly entities provide the ever lasting truth and power to a select 144,000 messengers that God seals prior to the beginning of great tribulation on earth. These messengers are the two witnesses personified, carrying out one final deliverance of the gospel to all nations for 1260 days. JWs believe this all took place already when Rutherford was jailed and released in 1918 and that the trumpet blasts started in 1922 at an Ohio convention. Complete and utter nonsense and blasphemy. Interesting. Still, how would we explain Daniel 12:1,2? Jesus was clearly referencing Daniel in using almost the exact words in describing great tribulation. Daniel 12 is part of the angel's description of the conflict between the Kings of the North and South, leading up until the end time. And then, there is Revelation chapter 13. Clearly it will be life and death "tribulation" that face all true Christians as they will be put under "compulsion" to worship the beast governments, not being able to "buy and sell." Revelation clearly indicates that the threat of death is used to compel ALL mankind to worship the beast, it's image, and the dragon. Seems like a "great tribulation" of special note, at the conclusion of things. A global 'who does one worship' test. Seems to be shaping up right now.

There we see that Satan greatly desires to test us.Thus the wording of Matthew 6:13, 2 Peter 2:9. I note in all these accounts Jehovah has unwavering belief in his creation and our free will. There is no need for him to test us. He knows our breaking point as well due to our fractured nature. I find considerable proof of his confidence in the way he created us in the fact that it was not a gamble for him to sacrifice his Son, an all in bluff. It is clear he knows his creation intimately. And, I also find it highly motivating to have such a leader, king, and god that feels this way. I gather that free will was called to question in Satan's original and subsequent challenges. An aspect ingrained onto us that Jehovah clearly knows works. However it cannot work in the presence of lies. A liar is a thief because he takes the free will from a person who would clearly make a different decision with the accurate information, otherwise there would be no reason to lie and manipulate the person's free will. This is why we must dig for truth as for gold and silver. Today much of the truth has been buried by lies that we must dig through to get to it. We cannot just accept what is on the surface. I have a long ways to go. I am sifting out a lot of garbage I have accepted. Admittedly some I lazily accepted... or rather didn't challenge out right due to cowardice, and just set on a shelf hoping it would work itself out. Knowing full well it was not true from the start. You never ask yourself what do the unnumbered in Revelation who are not part of the 12,000 represent? You never bother to bring up that all those selected to be in an obviously different class of Christians, are from people of all the nations, as well as those who are anointed. You never bother to bring up the Jesus had many things to say to his disciples, but they weren't able to bare them at present. John 16:2. And you completely reject what Daniel was speaking of in the 12 chapter about the true knowledge becoming abundant. You further ignore there are other less equivical methods to determing that these are the last days, such as the anglo american false prophet who likes to cause fire to come down in the site of mankind to pursue a world government the was the League of Nations and then ascended into the abyss and came out as the United Nations. I've got to go to bed enough for now. I have many things to say but it's obvious that your bias is the end will not come. Most channels such as yours don't firmly believe in the end. Ignoring Jeremiah 25, you've got to be kidding me. 'Bringing to ruin those ruining the Earth.' 'Making tribulation upon those making tribulation upon you, in a flaming fire.' Nothing personal to you but blah blah blah circle circle circle this God regardless of his name is doing a very poor job at telling people how, why, where, and when it's no wonder so many people die believing all these conflicting things and in the end if people die because of it he only has himself to blame. A god of confusion. If a parent was to treat their own children the same way , that this God has treated the human race, they would be considered a bad parent. Can you imagine leaving your children for anybody to raise maybe some foster parents and then hand them a book about yourself of what you expect and never made contact never spoke face-to-face and never saw these kids the whole time they were growing up could you actually expect to have a good relationship with them when you showed up? Can you see? can you hear?

Wouldn't God's temple on it's most basic form represent an arrangement, like what you see in Corinthians? Would all who are judged literally stand inside Jesus supernatural hands, or would it just represent a position of survival or no survival? Is God a racist who will only give earthly inheritance to natural Jews? Can you just dump those other Earth scriptures and pretend like they don't exist? (That's usually what Christendom does.) Did the man who died next to Jesus eat the bread or partake of the wine? Cannot God 'overlook the times of ignorance,' if we truly are ignorant? What about people who died before Jesus time? Don't go off on the one scripture Christendom loves to misuse.You seem like your being unreasonable, and only looking at what you can see with your eyes and ears, but not the heart.
