What are the rules for non-governmental Modified basis? Aren't LT assets (building) recognized in the Modified basis as it would be recognized in the Accrual basis. Thus, it should be capitalized not expensed? I am asking because my textbook says to CAPITALIZE fixed assets for Modified Cash basis for for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
