Malhun Hatun knew she was marrying a man already married. Whereas Osman Bey forced Bala not to leave him at beginning of their relationship when Bala wanted to walk away because she thought she could not have children. He told her if was God's wish for them not to have children he would accept it just so he could get her to marry him. So was Osman Bey's fault first and foremost because he was a lying cheat and betrayed the woman he supposedly loved so much. But Malhun Hatun was after him and married him knowing Bala was already his wife and had no understanding at all for what Bala sacrificed, and nor did selfish Osman Bey.

But totally agree it was selfish Osman Bey who was most to blame.
