For me it is weird that for stage 1 the prey is highlighted green/cyan while both stage 2 and 3 are purple, could of made stage 2 blue

No the prey will ONLY glow purple if it's in the 3rd stage

Any idea how far away the outline on your quarry can be seen from and if it can be seen through foliage/solid objects?

You can see if quite far if you scent, but i'm pretty sure it can't be seen through objects

What does the venom actually do? Is it the same as bleed? And do troodons even cause bleed when they pounce? Or just venom.

They do cause bleed yes. The venom increases all damaged dealt to the victim by all the troodons in the area, the higher the venom stack, the more damage you will do. At venom stage 3, besides the increased damage each time you pounce the target it also drains a little of their stamina. Venom is basically a damage multiplier for the troodons that also tires out the victim in the later stages.

Yes thats the only viable option after a while since claws now dont cost stamina, keep in mind that pouncing during stage 3 drains stamina now which makes them really strong

These little guys are messing up the ecosystem. As hard as it may be to admit it there was one before them. They are making it hard for baby carnivores of all species to survive because Troodon's are hunting them or taking their food. With their ability to hunt bigger game there is now nothing for bigger carnivores to look for and it's a waste of time to even try and track them down or chase them. You would think that there would be more bodies now but its the opposite because too many people are playing these guys and many other species are not making it to adulthood for bigger corpses. Developers need to make a way of better tracking them or increase their stamina consumption for jumping & lunging. Or perhaps give them a recovery time for a failed lunge.

Thats exactly how it should be though. If there is no danger to the juvie population of other carnivores/herbivores then there will be an overpopulation of apexes on Spiro. A juvie against a fullgrown Troodon is just gonna lose, and that is the way it should be, since they are designed for it. It makes it harder to grow an apex and incentivizes people to play dinos with shorter grow times, since they have more success in killing Troodons as a subadult, because they get there faster. And for the shortage of bodies, well, I haven't really noticed that, just go to any location in the center and there will be deinos or utahs that have killed something and just left it there, unless you are playing on semi realism servers ofcourse. As for the ability for troodons to hunt bigger prey and now bigger carnivores having nothing to hunt is simply not true. There is plenty of fullgrown ceras, stegos and beipis. Most troodons arent really coordinated enough to succesfully hunt any of those...

if i had the money to buy a pc good enough to play the isle evrima, i would just main troodon and annoy the heck out of my friends until they succumb to playing troodon alongside me
