God, I just finished year 9 and GCSEs (or IGCSEs for me) legitimately scare me. And the best part is, I can get a scholarship to my dream university but I have to get As in all my GCSEs and all my A levels. It cannot possibly get any more intimidating. But yes, before you ask, I am taking history.

I have to say, once you approach GCSEs and complete them, they’re not nearly as bad as they appear to be. I did 4 of my GCSEs last year during COVID and did the other 5 this year. I’ll be sitting my last exam on next Tuesday. After the second or third exam you just grow to be accustomed to the whole process.

Make friends!! Making friends and getting out there was the best decision I made since I felt super comfortable super quickly 🤍

i went to boarding school when i was 12 to 14 i left because a teacher i had i caught him making out with a 16 year old and he was 29 so i snitched and i got ganged up on by the girl and her mates and even the teacher himself apparently i was in the wrong

How come the other girls are wearing a white polo and your wearing pink/cream also how does money work do you get pocket money do you have your own fridge or have to name items

At Mia's school, they start wearing sixth form uniform (business wear) towards the end of fifth form (year 11) which means they get to pick a smart blouse or shirt to wear with a suit, therefore some people will have different colours or styles. No, you don't really get pocket money unless you're a really young boarder (prep school) because most of the time, your parents send you with "pocket money" for the term and you just look after it yourself - you don't really go out much, especially if you do a lot of the activities that are on offer at your school. You don't get a fridge for yourself because you can just have little snacks in your dorm (tuck, used to be sent in tuck boxes to last the term but that's not such a big thing anymore) and you get all your food provided anyway so you don't really need a fridge. For the last question, yes, you have to name pretty much EVERYTHING you come with. If you don't name something, and it goes in the wash, for example, you may never see it again. So yes, lots of naming of items has to happen before you start boarding school. I know I'm not Mia, but I have a good knowledge of boarding school over the years, and I hope this answers all your questions ❤
