Exanima is a gem of a game, and the golem boss is for sure one of the hardest. Have you seen the video of one of the community moderators where he defeated him with no armor? that impressed me a lot

problem with the golem isn't that he's hard, its that he requires a specific weapon, the Polearm, and basically exploiting his limited moveset with a single counterattack window. its basically impossible to defeat with a 1 handed weapon.

I find myself laughing so many times while playing this Game. Stumpling, slepping, falling, beeing stuck, tripping over the same thing a couple of times, hitting derron asf. I just love it.

Exanima is such a slow burn, its been amazing and so unique for so long. Im sure there is a timeline were pewdiepie played it years back and the game blew up and we have like 3 sequels.

Just a tip: If you press crouch right before the swing connects can improve your hit rate by about 200%. Most of the time they do not protect their legs. This is especially useful against shields, but it should work against that monstrosity.

Also when you stab you can aim at a foot or specific body part. I still suck at the game but I do that a lot in Arena duels

@@Mars-Orobot Yeah. a dev said this in 2016 There will be LAN multiplayer and low latency online multiplayer. How low of a latency will be required for online play isn't known until further testing is done. The multiplayer will include both co-op and PvP. Probably 4 player coop.

@@TheUnknownD Yeah any significant amount of latency would murder this game's mechanics, I bet. Networked physics simulations are infamously problematic, and when the entire combat mechanic is all just physics... Could be really, really bad.

Golems, i always use awl pike (the longest spear in level 6), thrusts are SO good in this game..really love it

@@Mars-Orobot hey man, i enjoyed the short video. If you ever wanted to stab accurately, just think of that red circle as a crosshair in FPS. The center is the point your thrust going. Keep focusing that red circle to the parts you want to stab, be mindful in your spacing. That should help you getting those stabs connected

Thrusts are better irl, they had to be made worse in-game so it would be more balanced towards swings

take the weapon enchant when you are fighting flesh creatures like sir with blades and you seem to do alot more damage. for armor always use weapon enchant. just watch how long it takes to kill a level 1 zombie with weapon enchant on with blades compared to it off.

I remember waiting for an indie game almost like this one (Overgrowth) and when it got a full release years later it was underwhelming. So I'm not really holding my breath for any early access titles but it's kinda nice to see that the devs are still working on this.

If the game would have NORMAL gamepad controls, everyone on this planet would play it all night long. But the game has the most complicated and frustrating controls ever. And please don't tell me if you get used to it you will love it. It's annoying as hell that you have to achieve a degree in physics to play a video game!

No your right the first 10 hours of playing the game is basically just trying to figure out how to not die straight away. I must have rage quite around 100 times before I started having fun and exploring the world. The upside though is you feel like a super hero after you start killing everything with ease lol
