Excalibur- A Dragon's Tale in Pirate Cove.
A boat ride attraction with medieval scenes,we saw the Dragon but he had lost his voice.

As a kid I really enjoyed this ride, it had an odd sense of nostalgic love to it - similar to the one for Pirate Adventure or parks like Blackpool. Looking at it now, it had a lot of negative space which works with a relaxing boat ride, but I always get the impression that this could have had so much more story / scenes. Fun fact, the boats went to auction earlier this year at the park but none were sold. They are still in the park :)

Pretty impressive honestly. I love that Dragon animatronic and the detail on it moving its hands along the wall as if it's trying to keep up with the boat. That's cleaver.

This ride broke down once when I was on it and ever since I’ve had a major anxiety with water animatronics aha watching it is triggering me but I love freaking myself out..

I was on the ride when this broke down in 2009, they had to get speedboats out to get everyone back onto land, funny thing is as soon as we got on the speed boat , that also broke down! But they got it to work on the end, I've shared that it hasnt been properly running since then!

I remember the bit where the Father dragon wakes up in the tunnel (unfortunately you didnt capture it) and it made me jump so much, I've never forgotten it hahaha and I really want to ride it again because .. well idk why, but its closed now right?

Looks like a lot of effects weren't working. I remember the Dragon pulling the boat spoke more and there was a fireball effect inside the tunnel

They are opening it one last time at Christmas, completely remade and re-themed.

Sort of reminds me of the Jurassic Park ride. Used to be something brilliant but over the years has became clanky and stopped working.

I REMEBER when I was 5 or 4 and I LOVED this ride and the story! I still remeber the story now but it kept on pausing and breaking down. There a new ride there called The Kight Before Christmas and its kinda the same but a story about Christmas and only opens around Christmas! If they could fix the ride why only open it on Christmas?

Alton Towers opens on the 24th of march with a new thrill ride, Nemesis : Sub-Terra, are you planning to go an see it. Luckily, me an my family go at the start of april so I might get to ride it.

This ride was closed down. Due to the communication failure with the audio sensors on the boats ( hence no music or voices) and the constant maintenance of whole ride. This ride was brilliant when it first oppend. Shame.

The castle is used at Christmas Cruz it where Santa is xx I only know this Cruz my brother works there
