Andrew's vids are so watchable because he sets the camera in a spot where you can see what he's doing and he moves them around a lot so you don't get bored. You can tell that he spends a fair amount of time editing. But the real magic is in Andrew himself. He simply wants to make vids that are interesting and doesn't spend a lot time yammering away like he's trying to be a Rock Star. He seems to be very modest and has found the right formula that will probably teach a generation of YT creators how to do it right. I do not know Andrew. I make my assertions based on all of the excellent content that he has created and the hours I have spent watching.

Not as simple as u might think he does good video editing and he's a hard worker I can see this and I've only just seen a couple of his videos.
@mrkthmn23 күн бұрын
One element of it, i think, is that they are more cinematic. Most videos on KZbin are Talk, Talk, Talk! And not only that it's bullshit filler. Talking for the sake of talking and they try to monitize as much of it as possible. Andrews videos seem to focus on the work of the projects with him rarely stopping to talk. This video was 43 minutes and i'd be surprised if there was more than 5 minutes of talking in it. Plus the big thing is the lack of him whoring himself out the whole time which really takes a viewer out of the video mentally/emotionally. Everytime im watching a video and they start schilling I always groan and fast forward but by that point the "mood" of what was happening is broken/gone. So I think a big part of it is the lack of ads and the more cinematic approach rather than the lets talk for 80% of it and I'll show you some clips for the remaining 20%.

I work in a stamping plant in maintenance. For years when we needed a hose made, and we have literally thousands, it was a lot of downtime heading down the street to the Tractor Supply to have them made, and with the myriad of fittings we require, occasionally they didn't have what we needed. I finally convinced the boss to invest in a hose swager machine. We went with the Parker and Parker hose/fittings. It came with 6 sizes of crimping dies and we bought 6 spools of hydraulic hose. The real investment is in the hundreds of fittings needed. We're undergoing a commonality program to switch every fitting to common size. Eventually we will get it all together. But every maintenance man who owns a log splitter or tractor, they all have Parker hoses on them now! lol I wonder how that happened...must be a coincidence.

A battery company should sponsor some of your videos with as many that you have around now, although I'm sure you wouldn't care for the hassle of that. The reason why Andrews videos are so awesome, is because he doesn't say much. Like most wise men he speaks when it's important

Andrew Those adjustable Wrenches you’re using look like Real USA Made Top Quality wrenches made back when they put real solid high tempered steel in them!!!! The ones you buy now if you break the handle off or cut it off you’ll see they’re graphite steel and not solid like the old ones you have there. Those are practically unbreakable, and some of the early years of Craftsman Tools were made with solid steel that’s why they guaranteed them for life. But nowadays most all tools are made with graphite steel and they won’t last forever like the old American and German made tools made in the early to mid 1900’s. To buy brand new tools made in USA of top quality steel now it will cost you dearly. So it’s better to find old tools at auctions, estate sales and garage/yard sales at a bargain because they’ll literally last you a lifetime.

I forgot about the pipe being replaced, was thinking you just put a lot of stone on there just last year; oh yeah, the 5K mini. I had another idea for the new shop- I don't know if you watch C&C Equipment channel but they did some new aprons for their building last year and did something you might think about doing. In the middle of the apron they installed two Steel I beams spaced apart, then poured concrete up to the top lip so that their machines run on top of the I beams instead of touching the concrete. They buy and flip heavy equipment for a business. Seemed like a pretty good idea, might be some skating on it if icy, not sure, you would have to ask them. Those videos for that were some time in spring or fall of 2023, I think, if you were interested in seeing it. Thanks for the videos.

My old man always had a thing about maintenance. Before using any piece of equipement he always each time checked the oil and radiator fluid. At the end of each day he always refilled the tank completely full he always said to me when I forget to fill the tank You don't want any water in your tank go fill it up now. Also each week on Sunday all fittings where greased, he checked everything for potential damage like hoses, or corrosion on wires and connectors he also did a weekly Battery diagnostic check removed all dirt and leaves. He totally cleaned the machines several time a year and after cleaning he treated any rusted parts and repainted in part or whole and he always said that he never had big or long downtime on his equipement he owned. All the equipement he owned looked almost new or very well maintained even though they where all between 10 and 50 years old. Another upside was that if he sold a piece of equipment it was still worth something. He always told me he almost always sells his equipment for more money then he ever paid for it when he bought it, A little TLC goes a long way to safe some money in the long run.
