I think that minnows are known to eat mosquitoes larvae, @@drinny26. So if you have a small to large pond putting a few gallons of minnows in there is a good idea for keeping the mosquito population down in that body of water.

Why does Uncle John always seem to be in harms way? He is standing directly behind this huge machine, that could easily swing around and hit him. He does this a lot in the videos. Walks in front of the moving machine, under the bucket and the arm of the machines. I'm not understanding this. Why does he do this?

+FrJcsc I don't see anyone calling it a beaver dam. They clearly excavated more area for the pond and left that wide area as a dam until they were done and are now removing that final section between old and new to make it one.
