Excel like calculations in word

Most of us work in MS Word to create invoices, letters, etc. and would be happy to do some more complicated calcultions right in this program. We discovered how to do Excel like calculations in MS Word and maybe this will help to solve some problems.

What if I have a table of 50 rows? Insert the formula 50×2=100 times? Rather easier to put the value. I think better to paste from Excel. Any enhanced idea on word?

thank you very much . i have a question pleas? if i have a column in word table that contains numbers and i wont to make the function sum or average for all the cells that contain numbers that bigger than 7 ( for example). how can I use the formula sum or average with if criteria that returns me the result of sum or average with out the cells that contains the number 7 ?

To perform complex calculations in a word table, we can create that table in Excel and then link or embed the table in our Word document.

Adel Dahche nailed the problem. There is no way I know of that will correct the error. And that is not good to give to users if they can't correct it.

Hello, Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I have a question for you, is there any way to create a running formula of multiplying two columns with maybe 20 rows in a document, instead of doing the formula line by line? I have a document that I use in Microsoft Word for a Public Adjuster where I have to take a purchase price of an item then multiply the sales tax to get a total replacement cost i.e. original price + 6% tax =$ replacement cost. So, I've been doing each one by hand and it takes so much time because I have 20 items on a page times most times 45 pages.....then I have to total each cost & replacement cost for each page. P.S. I dislike Excel ...it's too complicated! Thank you so much for any advice! Tony W.
