Hi Randy, a school manager system will be used by several people in different roles. Like administration, educators and educator assistants, educational managers, students, parents etc. Each needs a different part of the system and in every part they can or can't see all the information (due to GDPR for instance). In Your blueprint the educator needs in front of the class a kind of dashboard with group information (group dynamics) and information of the individual student (like special educational needs, how to deal with dyslexia, ASS eg.). Educational managers need f.i. the progress of students (kind of curriculum delay measure) or the mean of the results eg. So different reports. Students want to see their results on exams educators registers ... to be continued ;-)

Hi Eric, great points for sure. I think we have to limit this to just Teachers, Educators and Managers. Since we are not trying to build an application for everyone. With that said, as far as the Scheduling and Dashboard, we will certainly have reports and screens for those specific people. For example for the 3 scheduling screens(Day, Week & Month Views) each will have a 'view' option. That option would consist of 3 options (Admin, Teacher, Student). Based on the selected option we would have a Student view of 'their schedule' that could be printed and emailed. Likewise a teacher view would consist of only classes they are assigned to teach. As well as an 'Admin View' which would show everything (however the admin view may be simply too much to show so i have to consider how we would display that with a lot of teachers, but perhaps on a per-room basis) The reports as well could be tailored to Admins, Teachers or Students. Amazing as always... Lets take it as "University Manager". In universities we have semester system. For example a student is in BS English 1st semester. He has passed or failed papers in the 1st semester. Now the student got promoted to the 2nd semester in the same discipline i.e. BS English. Now how would we keep the record of 1st semester and would rely on the results of 1st semester in the 2nd semester to calculate CGPA? I hope you got my point

HI Jawad, that makes sense. When we assign the Exams, Quizes and Tests, we can also add a period (or semester) to that taken exam so that it stays with the student exam always.

Hi Neville, If you mean templates within Excel itself, I could, but I worry in an application this size, possibly with 30 to 50 certificates the application would be too large. Word documents give us a lot of flexibility with size and color, maybe more than Excel, so in this instance we will go with Word files to keep the application size down. Hey this is going great.. love those menus. Those 1 liners... oh my brilliant. Things I felt needed based on today Could we add “Attachments”? Also since we are using share and sync was hoping that each attachments could be moved /copied from any location to the specified location for each and every student. Do you think that makes sense? If it does it might be helpful :) Example, the student picture.. it could be located somewhere but who ever uploads the picture if it could be moved into a centralized location then everyone has access to it no matter where they are since we are sharing and syncing.. Admin screen 1. Schedule showing days, weekly, monthly, yearly Weekly could be W1,w2,w3,w4,w1,w2... etc Not sure about it 2. could we add ID card for the students? 3. Attendance is online? Is it done physically If online then a mobile login ? Sorry I know possibilities are endless and requirements from everyone are endless. You can choose the most relevant. But again thank you so much for giving us your thought process and congratulations again on being MVP.. this is exactly the reason got it.. Thanks again Randy

HI Avi, thanks so much for your comments. For any attachments or pictures, it is a MUST that within the code we copy and paste them into a central folder. As soon as we add a 'Shared Folder' location within the Admin, I will update the code to only save the picture file name, then we will combine the file path in the admin, with the file name in the saved database to create a full file path. This way each user has their own path to the picture that works well. Attachments make a lot of sense, so I will add that to a Tab in the Student Information after we get the shared folder location set up ID Cards is already a tab in the Student Information so it is something we will be adding for sure I will be doing Day, Week and Month Views (Yearly may not be as helpful). Attendance will be tracked on a per-class basis, however If there are enough requests for an online sync adding attendance data I will add that as well. Hi MellenBerger. I think there is a need for 3 views in a schedule. (Admin, Teachers, Students). An Admin view would show all classes and students, while a Teachers view would show only those classes taught by a teacher. Likewise a student view would be helpful to send out to students to display only those classes in which they are enrolled it. I hope this helps and answers your question.

Hi Randy! Thanks a lot for another marvellous edu video, fantastic content! May I suggest adding a functionality of archiving a student? I imagine it as by adding a button at 'Students' tab that does not delete a student's data but gives an 'archived' flag in the students' database. There are situations when a student resigned and then - after a period of time, i.e. a semester/year - comes back taking classes. Storing that archived data would provide us with the history of that student after a pause in learning. I think that functionality would potentially enrich your tool. HI Samuel, thanks for your comment. I am glad you enjoy the video. Within the Page Layout Menu, you can click on the 'Selection Pane' button which will bring up all the shapes. You can the select them and check that their size has not changed. Sometimes if the width or height went to 0 then it would not show up. You can select and update the height or width or also select eye icon to display those shapes. I hope this helps. Hello, I keep getting a Run-time error '1004 Method 'Range of object_worksheet' failed with the line: For PatientCol = 2 To 10 PatientDB.Cells(PatientRow, PatientCol).Value = .Range(PatientDB.Cells(1, PatientCol).Value).Value Next PatientCol I'm very ignorant when it comes to coding. I'm not even sure what I am trying to accomplish with this line of code. I have been building along with your videos. They are wonderful!

Hi John, if your connection gets slow the video will be blurred a bit. You can also set the Quality of the video within the video in the Settings area of each video. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

Hello! I've been having trouble with row A5 (Sel.Tab.Col), whenever I try to click New Student it never returns back to General Info instead it would randomly select Fees & Payments, Exams or just a random Cell. Please help!
