He received bail because ED didn't contest the bail application. The bail is given, not on the basis of the merit of the case. Besides, it has been stated that this bail must not be considered as a precedence. So, it seems ED has some greater plan.

Getting bail in PMLA is amount to clean chit as no one can get bail in PMLA due to reverse burden clauses. Rule in PMLA is exact opposite "one is guilty until he is proved innocent is the rule in PMLA. Thats why it is very difficult to get bail in pmla. Also the court observed " nothing has been recovered from him" due to this observation ED hasn't contested the bail as there remained no ground to contest the bail.

ED द्वारा की गई कुल कार्रवाई में से केवल 0.4% में आरोपी को सजा हुई. क्या इस कार्रवाई के पीछे का मकसद किसी को राजनीतिक लाभ पहुंचाना है ?? 3. यदि कोई कंपनी सरकारी ठेका लेने के लिए मेज के नीचे से पैसे दे तो वो भ्रष्टाचार है परंतु यदि वही कंपनी चुनावी बॉन्ड द्वारा पैसा देकर ठेका ले तो वह अवैध नहीं ( जैसे मेघा इंजीनियरिंग ने बीजेपी को 584 करोड़ रुपए दान किए, फिर उसे जोजिला सुरंग और बांद्रा कुर्ला कॉम्प्लेक्स प्रोजेक्ट मिल गया). क्यों??

I think "Concession given today will not be treated as a precedence" ka matlab ye nahi he ki Sanjay cannot go out and talk about the case.. it just means that this judgement can not be used to judge the outcome of another case.. basically meaning this verdict cannot be referred to in future for claiming bail in another case..

today, there was an editorial in the hindu newspaper about PMLA act. there are some conditions in pmla act which makes it different from other cases. in pmla, one is guilty until proven innocent, bail should be granted only and only when a judge is 100% sure that the accused is not at fault. due to the second condition no judge usually gives bail in pmla, and if one is granted a bail, there are high chances that one is innocent. definitely most of the commentators here are politically motivated, who are supporter of either of the party.
