The pandemic has put so many people on edge, and there’s a giant mental health crisis going on as a result……and then you put everyone on a plane and in a mask, and it makes for a tense environment……try and just exude serenity and hope that others will too. You’re an outstanding flight attendant…….the airline is definitely getting their money’s worth out of you sweetheart. Always like seeing you guys wearing the scarf.

Still gives NO reason to ban people because of their political affiliation or what's written on their mask. Airline companies have gotten overly political, and they're taking sides. These airline companies should be neutral on their political views. WTH happened to 1st Amendment rights? Now the line has been drawn in the sand. COVID is NOT a left vs. right political issue. It is an issue that has plagued the entire world. However, a certain ex-country leader (whose name I refuse to make ANY mention of) has been unfairly blamed for COVID. Is he responsible for Europe, Asia, South America, Central America, Africa or Australia having the very same virus? We ALL know what country is to blame for this virus...and it's NOT the United States. Any sane person knows this.

Do you live on "base", dose the airline provide housing ? Or do you figure it out once you're transferred?

Airline definitely doesn’t provide housing, just something you have to figure out, as with most jobs that require you to move

Can you please share how are you based in Philly and live in Charlotte? I looked at a comment below where you mentioned the airline covers for you to commute back and forth. So do you have living arrangements in both cities? I am in the FA interview process right now with and wanted to know if I will be faced to find another place where the airline will eventually have me based?

They don’t cover the commute. We fly free domestically, but only if there’s an open seat. Most of the time I was flying up the night before a trip and sleeping in the crew room. It’s not recommended at all to commute. Especially the first year or two. Some people get crash pads (kind of like a hostel for crewmembers) but even those are usually a few hundred dollars a month

Americans from BOTH sides have to fly at some point in time. It's NOT right to ban passengers because of their political views or whom they openly support to lead this great Republic.

Hi Jenny! I have a question for you. Oftentimes I see that major airlines are hiring flight attendants, but by the time I get to their website, they have no flight attendant job postings. Is this common? How do I apply if I can never find where there are openings?

Airlines will close their applications once they receive a certain amount. They can only sort through so many at a time. But I visited the career page for each of the airlines listed in my description and all of them had their applications open at the time the video went live. You just have to keep checking!

Hey Jenny! Hope your doing well! Glad your back to work! Anxiety is a real thing! Your not alone! I got so much anxiety this whole week, and my anxiety always is through the roof no matter what. I get driving anxiety and other anxiety too, which causes me to be on edge every single second of every single day! Anxiety can cause lots of things and it’s a real struggle! I feel your stress and want you to know that I am here for you! Also, I don’t know what people think that they are doing not complying with mask mandate. I’m thinking people are so tired of it, but right now it’s our only method of protection from getting the variant and passing it on to others! I’ve seen people arguing with crew members and being physically and verbally aggressive, and I’m like “really, why can’t you just cooperate and do what everyone else is doing”? It’s so simple. You choose to not follow policies and procedures, there are consequences. Flight attendants and pilots are getting injured so frequently. I’ve seen it in person, where a flight attendant got physically attacked so hard and so aggressively, that she ended up on the floor of the cabin. I’m like “wow, really, whoever did this is so mean and doesn’t care about policies and doesn’t have any regard for others”. I care about you, Ale, Stella, Kat, and the rest of the flight attendants. You guys do so much for passengers and you guys work long tiring hours and still do what you all can to keep everyone safe and calm during flight and afterwards too! I have to acknowledge the bravery, stamina and courage you all have! You guys are absolutely rockstars! Don’t let anyone ever touch you physically. If they do, you let me know, and they will see the dark side of me, which I am not afraid to release. If they say anything verbally, I’m gonna go to my dark side, because I want to protect you guys and not let anything happen to any of you. You guys are so sweet and so kind to all passengers on board and you all go above and beyond during flight and afterwards. I appreciate all you guys do for everyone! By the way, congratulations on getting the Charlotte base! I remember you used to work there a while ago, and then you moved to Philly! Are you excited to return to your old base and be reacquainted with all your old flight attendant friends and classmates? I bet it’s gonna be so fun getting to see everyone again that you used to work with and go to flight attendant school with! How are the little animal children doing? Zeus and Laya are just so cute! Hopefully they are both getting along with each other! The way to get them used to each other and lessen their fear of each other, is to keep them in the same room together, and let them play together, so they warm up to each other! Oh, by the way, I’m so incredibly excited for you and Keith to get married! May both of you have a very happy married life together! May your marriage always be filled with love, mutual respect and great joy! Here’s a toast to you and Keith for a wonderful, prosperous and happy married life together! Cheers!

Bang on! Does your transfer mean PHL is not as understaffed as it was earlier this summer? I'm hoping all bases will be open when I graduate in November.

Not necessarily. It means other bases needed more people so they opened vacancies there. A lottttt of flight attendants were displaced after furlough. So they’ll get priority/first dibs on open bases. The way things currently stand, most of the bases will probably be open, but I doubt DFW, LAX, or SFO will be. ORD is also hit and miss. But you never know.

Most airlines require high school graduation. Some might accept a GED.

That’s what I do. I live in Charlotte but am based in Philadelphia. For my airline, you must be within two hours of base if you are a reserve. So I’m either flying into base when I’m on reserve or flying into base before a trip. Its hard and I don’t recommend it, but it’s not impossible.

I hear you on the anxiety. As a frequent business traveler, something about travel triggers it for me. Often wake up in a hotel feeling awful, and very anxious. A hot shower usually makes it go away. I think it has to do with the adrenaline rush of travel, and the withdrawal. Love your channel.

I’m sorry you have to deal with it too! I realized mine was from the constant unruly passengers. I didn’t think it was affecting me that much, but I realized I was actually starting to get scared to go to work because of how many people are acting out on planes these days 😩

Hi Jenny. As a first time viewer to your Channel. Here in Australia, everything is so closed from a Socio-Economic stand. Interstate & International travel won't be permitted until Mid-December at the earliest Convenience. Because the Government is so Paranoid about the co-vid outbreak. So really, it's a far cry to How Things are in the United States. So you must be Happy that your working a Schedule.
