I know Cole's parents are super happy. I'm sure when his accident happened they were concerned about his quality of life. How normal it would be. I bet they are so relieved that his life is taking it's "normal" course. Such a huge blessing. As a parent I'd probably be doing a jig! Thank you for your spreading your beautiful outlook on life guys! I was able to appreciate Coles response re kids asking questions and parents then pulling them away. I recently retired from 36+ years of law enforcement (all on the street). I cannot tell you how many times I had to gently educate parents who told their child that "if you don't behave, that policeman is going to take you away!" Ugh! Keep up the excellent work, really puts perspective in many people's day.

Congratulations on getting an invite to speak at the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.I think that you have an important role to play with disability awareness you have a unique platform to help others. I think that you have a great future ahead of you. Contact some builders in your area who know about ADA building and have them go with you to tour the houses or maybe some Veterans organization that deal with accessible housing to get the name of a good contractor.

My brother and his wife had the similar problem when they planned their wedding. Our family is much bigger than my sister-in-law’s, so my brother was trying to pare his list down and she was inviting anyone and everyone so it was equal. They ended up having one of the most memorable and still talked about weddings our very large family has experienced. F.) Perhaps you can do a livestream of your wedding ceremony so you can include your subscribers? I’ll bet the Knot can help with that! G.) A tiara would look so wonderful!!! H.) Cole has a Southern accent on some phrases, I’d say in general his accent is more flat. But Charisma sounds more Southern on certain words. I.) Shane Burcaw and his fiancé were in Prague this past fall and I think they would say that with proper research it’s quite accessible, more than some places here in the States (NYC, DC, etc.) I think most anywhere is surprisingly accessible with the proper research.

Can I share something with you two? I just found your channel and I'm a fan! I rooting for you two! My situation was totally different from yours but when I was married I was the caregiver and I did most of the work around the house. I lost myself. He had lots of issues before we met I thought I could help him. My point of saying this is because its important to continue to communicate and seek counseling and individual counseling if you need. Keep your own lives and continue to do things you like to do as individuals. I feel that the key to marriage is keeping your own life while joining each others, honesty, and communication. Balled on a budget right here!!! Planned my wedding in 2 weeks and the whole things said and done was just under 2,000. Wedding list for us was 50 each, so 100 total. We did immediate family for ceremony/dinner and then friends could come to the reception. Can't wait to see the rest of your journey to the altar! So close to my birthday too, i am dec 16th!!!!

I'm a c6-ish quad of 13.5 years with similar function as Cole and so yeah 3 quick things lol 1. I feel the same way about people asking me questions. Kids are the best and can make you feel seen. 2. I would also want my hand function back over walking any day smh it would bring so much more independence. 3. I dream the same way lol. Able bodied but then it's like I remember I'm paralyzed and start moving sluggishly. I never thought to ask anyone else with an SCI that so I find it interesting.
